Karina and Richard’s love story began in 2013 when they worked together for the city of Fontana. Karina had a crush on Richard and tried flirting with him, but he didn’t catch on. After some help from coworkers, Karina sent Richard a note with her number. Weeks passed and he never texted, so she began to think he wasn’t interested. Then, on the eve of her annual Halloween party, Richard finally texted her! They hit it off immediately and became inseparable from that moment. Since then, Karina, Richard, and their two cats have moved into their first apartment in Long Beach- CA, made the big move to Houston-Texas, traveled, worked together again, and continue to share memories, laughter, tears, goals, and dreams.

Maid of Honor
We met living next door to each other back when we were 9 or 10, and have shared so many memories, from childhood adventures to all the ups and downs of growing up together. Through every milestone, challenge, and celebration, she has been by my side. We’ve laughed, cried, and supported each other through everything life has thrown our way. The way we’ve grown together, learned from each other, and shaped who we are today is something I’ll always cherish. Chloe is an amazing hair dresser and a world traveler. She has lived in San Francisco and Mexico City!
Bridesmaid
Jennifer and I met working together for the city of Fontana. Over the years she became one of my best friends—someone I could never imagine my life without. From the best moments to some scary ones, we have been right there by each other's side. Her sassy, bold personality always keeps me laughing, but it's her huge heart that makes her irreplaceable. Jennifer is happily married, has a dog named Milo, and loves to prank scare her husband on the regular.
Bridesmaid
My brother brought us together and over the years, she became not just my sister-in-law, but truly a sister to me. From our laughs to our heartfelt conversations, we've shared so many beautiful moments that have only made our bond stronger. She is such an amazing mom! Watching her balance everything with patience, and endless dedication is inspiring. The kids are fortunate to have her as their role model, and I’m so grateful to be their tía. Vanessa is a mommy of four wild ones, an amazing sourdough baker, and balloon artist!
Bridesmaid
My soon-to-be sister in law, Ash has always been a constant support for me and Richard, always cheering us on and offering a positive perspective on the choices we make. Her sense of humor and wild energy makes every moment a blast. She knows how to make anything fun, and I honestly don’t know what we’d do without your infectious spirit. She is also such an amazing mom. She doesn't always give herself enough credit, but the way she shows up for her kid every day is truly inspiring. Ash is the best mommy to Luna, loves horror movies, and is married to groomsmen Stephen.

Meeting Roxy through Best Man Ryan, has been such a great journey. She constantly brings a positive energy and light to our lives. Her kindness and laughter are contagious and she has this incredible ability to make everyone around her feel so welcomed and valued, and I can’t thank her enough for that. She is also a great support system—whether it’s offering encouragement or hyping us up on everything, she is always ready to lift us up. Roxy is a creative soul, loves dancing to latin music, and always ready to say "taka taka" to start the party.
Best Man
I met Ryan the summer of 4th grade, back when kids used to play outside and have water fights. He lived in the neighborhood, and I thought he was interesting enough to be friends-he thought my nintendo 64 was more interesting. Ultimately is was a lifelong friendship waiting to happen. It’s wild to think that we’ve been at this for 20 years—through all the good times, the growing pains, and everything in between. From the endless jokes and roasts to the moments when we were there for each other, I’m grateful for every bit of it. Ryan lives in Long Beach, California with bridesmaid Roxy.
Groomsman
I met Stephen in middle school. He made his way into a conversation I was having with another friend about the candies we were eating. He asked if he could have some, which my other friend said no because he didn't know him. I lied and said I knew him, so he could get some candy. After that, Stephen said " We're friends now" so I had no choice. Fast forward, he and my sister fell in love, got married, became parents and has become part of my family, a brother. Stephen is well-versed in life and together we have had some of the deepest conversations I've had. Stephen is a CHP officer, married to bridesmaid Ash, best dad to Luna, and in his fishes and aquarium era.
Groomsman
Shay is the newest addition to my roster of friends. Which is very rare as we get older and at this point in my life. He is one of the first true friends I have made since moving to Texas. He started as the barista at my favorite coffee shop who would hook me up with extra shots of espresso to eventually me hooking him up with a job at the company I work for. Shay has continued to show how many shared qualities and hobbies, like music, we have in common and has become a great friend over the years. Shay is in a local band playing bass, is a coffee enthusiast, and is single and ready to mingle!
Beautiful little city about 20 minutes away. Great for shopping, eating, and sight seeing! Visit Market Street, grab a bite at Tommy Bahamas, and take a ride on the free trolley!
Experience small town vibes! Farmers market every Saturday with local vendors. Take a walk around the town. Cute historical town with restaurants, antique stores, brewery, and pizza shops. Our favorites are Bonfire Grill, Hee Haws Tacos and Tequila, Honor Society Coffee shop, and Little Woodrows.
If your looking to explore downtown Houston, there is sooooo much to do and see there. Tons of great restaurants, bars, museums, nature walks, coffee shops, and so much more. Our favorite areas to hang out in are- The Heights, Montrose and Memorial areas.
A fun Texas staple! You might think, " A gas station, convenience store?". Hard to explain, but it's a huge store, filled with the wildest goodies, merch, good bbq, and just a fun experience. Check it out if you can, the highway signs will not let you miss it!
You're in Texas! If your looking to make a whole trip out of it, we definitively recommend taking the short drive to : Austin- about 3 hours. So many fun activities to do there, and lots of great food! San Antonio- about 3 hours too. Visit the famous Riverwalk with tons of bars and restaurants. Waco- about 2 hours- Visit the famous Silos. Great area to explore, eat, and shop! Galveston- about 1 hour away- Beach city (not like California) but unique and has a lot to offer. Historical downtown, pier and nice seafood restaurants.
They don't call it Space City for nothing! Visit the Nasa space center....we actually haven't been but family has, and they enjoyed it.

Yes! Friday, the day after the wedding, both our parents will be hosting a pool party get-together for everyone to join and relax. This will be at Casa Ruvalcaba in Tomball. Don't forget your swimsuit! :)
As soon as you can confirm you are going to attend. If any changes occur, please let us know :)
Yes! The venue has plenty of free on-site parking.
It's totally up to you! Renting would make transport easier but definitely reach out to other family to work out carpooling options. Toll roads are heavily used and recommended, as its normally the quicker, easier route.
Our wedding will be semi-formal, feel free to dress up in formal cocktail attire. Suits for men, cocktail dresses and casual gowns, or dressy separates for women are perfect.
Yes! Both will be indoor. However, cocktail hour may be outdoors.
It's Texas! You never really know. During that time, its generally still cool but with varying heat throughout the day. We recommend bringing sunglasses, dress in light layers, breathable fabrics, hand held fans, and or parasols.
Venue requires all parties to be off the property by midnight.
