We met the good ol' fashion way... online :) When we first met on Facebook Dating (lol yes, Facebook really does have a dating app), Josh was living in Utah and Rhea was living in Oregon. We are not sure why we matched since the algorithm was supposed to filter out people who are not within a 50 mile radius of us. Perhaps the algorithm is not very good, but we are glad for it since we were able to meet! After about a month of texting and calling nearly every day, Josh flew to visit Rhea and we finally met in person! By the end of that weekend together, which included visiting the Japanese Garden in Portland, visiting Powell's City of Books, playing guitar together, and staying up all night talking, we both knew this felt right. We were also both so relieved that we didn't just like each other from a distance, we liked each other in person too! We are so grateful that despite the long distance, we have been able to live our lives together and support one another with the help of technology and sign-on bonuses from travel credit cards. Our wedding will be the end of long-distance and the start of our life together, which we are so excited about! We cannot wait to have you celebrate with us!
