Here is the game plan for the big day. Savannah, our awesome wedding planner, will be available for any questions. She will be the one running the show - just look for the brunette giving orders. Allow ample time to get to the venue. Traffic is very heavy and what you think may take 30 minutes will likely take double during the mid/late afternoon rush hour. We invite guests to dress in semi-formal attire to share our day.

Renee and Christopher's Wedding Celebration

The ceremony will take place outdoors, under the large live oak tree near the Carriage House, at 5:30. The ceremony will be followed by an indoor-outdoor reception at the Carriage House. A DJ will be there, so be sure to bring your dancing shoes and get ready to dance the night away!

Cocktail hour with light hors d'oeuvres, located on the Carriage House patio, will be from 6:00-7:00. A full bar will be available from 6:00-10:30, which will include two specialty drinks plus options for your favorite mixed drinks. Beer, wine and champagne, in addition to, soda, sweet tea, lemonade and water, will also be available. Bring your appetite! We are serving up southern barbecue and southern desserts for dinner. A s'mores station will be set up on the Carriage House patio by the fire pit-perfect for a cozy treat during the evening.

Travel

The Inn at Middleton Place is 5 minutes away from Magnolia Plantation but further from downtown. It has a limited number of rooms and room options. Book through the Inn's website, or click the link below. We do not have a room block here. Check out must be Friday, April 8th. They do not have availability through the weekend, as they have an onsite wedding at that time. The Courtyard by Marriott is closer to downtown Charleston. The Hampton Inn and Suites is between downtown Charleston and Magnolia. We do have room blocks at both of these hotels from Tuesday 4/6/27 through Sunday, 4/11/27. Book through the link(s) below before 3/6/2027 for a discounted rate. If you do not use these links to book, or book after 3/6/2027, the discounted rate will not be available. If you decide to stay in a different hotel or an Air BNB, research the areas. Avoid North Charleston and Isle of Palms. Be advised that traffic is very heavy. Allow A LOT of extra time to get around.

Our wedding party is made up of the absolute legends who have survived us long enough to earn a front-row seat to this whole thing. These are the people who have seen us at our best, our worst, and our "please don't bring that up in your speech" moments...and somehow still chose to show up and support us anyway. It is very bold of them! This includes siblings, our children, lifelong friends, and the ones who just showed up one day and never left (you know who you are). They've been our therapists, our hype squad, our voice of reason (occasionally) and our partners in crime. We can't promise they will all behave, but we can promise they'll have strong opinions, great dance moves (confidence counts) and at least a few stories we really hope stay off the microphone. In short: they're chaotic, loyal and completely irreplaceable..and we wouldn't have it any other way.
