We know getting married in Fredericksburg makes this a destination wedding for so many of our guests. We really appreciate the time and effort it takes to get to Fredericksburg, especially so close to the holidays. We’re grateful to have such wonderful friends and family to celebrate with us! We have reserved two blocks of rooms (depending on your preference) for both Friday and Saturday nights. Check-in time is at 3pm at both hotels.

$179/night The Courtyard Marriott is located downtown, a 3-minute walk from the venue. We reserved a block of rooms for Friday and Saturday nights for $179 per night (not including taxes and fees). To book your room, you can call the hotel at 540-373-8300 and ask for the Reid/Eltringham Wedding Block, or book directly online through the "view" link below! This is the closest option to the venue on Saturday, and we will also be hosting breakfast on Sunday at this hotel.

$85/night The Best Western is located off I-95, and about a 6-minute drive from the venue. This hotel has pet-friendly rooms available. We’ve reserved a block of rooms for Friday and Saturday nights for $85 per night (not including taxes and fees). To book your room, call the hotel at (540) 371-5050 and ask for the Reid/Eltringham Wedding Block. (No online booking available.) We will provide shuttle service from the Best Western on Saturday for the ceremony and reception. The shuttle pickup time is at 4:45pm at the hotel. The shuttle will leave 718 Venue at 10:30 after the reception. Cabs, Ubers, and Lyfts are also available in Fredericksburg, and the price will run about $10 between the Best Western and the venue.

Train

Directions by Train

The easiest way to get to downtown Fredericksburg is to take the train to the Amtrak/VRE station. Amtrak/VRE Station 200 Lafayette Boulevard Fredericksburg, VA 22401-6067 https://www.amtrak.com/stations/fbg From New York City: take Amtrak from Penn Station (NYP) to Fredericksburg (FBG). The train ride from New York is about five hours. From Northern Virginia/DC area: take Amtrak to Fredericksburg from Union Station (WAS), Alexandria (ALX), or Woodbridge (WDB). The train ride from any of these stations is less than an hour. The Courtyard Marriott is two blocks away (0.2 miles) on Caroline Street, about a 3-minute walk from the Amtrak station. The Best Western is a 6-minute cab ride (2.5 miles).

Flight

Directions by Air

From places West & South: we recommend flying into BWI or Reagan National and then taking Amtrak to Fredericksburg. BWI offers a shuttle service between the airport and the Amtrak station. Shuttles come every 10 minutes or so, and it’s less than a 10-minute ride. The train ride from BWI to Fredericksburg is about two hours. From Reagan National Airport, we recommend taking a quick cab ride (10 to 20 minutes, depending on traffic) to the Alexandria Amtrak station in Old Town. The train ride from Alexandria to Fredericksburg is a less than an hour. If you’re flying into Dulles or Richmond, you will need to rent a car. Dulles is a 1 to 2-hour drive, and Richmond is 1 to 1 ½ hours, depending on traffic.

Parking

Parking is available at the Courtyard Marriott for $12/day. The Best Western offers free parking. The Sophia Street parking garage (600 Sophia Street) is located downtown less than a block away from the Marriott and two blocks from the venue. Parking is available hourly with a maximum of $8/day. Additional street parking is available in downtown Fredericksburg. (Remember to pay attention to street signs to avoid tickets!)
