Our Story

We first met through a mutual friend and my first though of Hermione was "dang, she's cute". The only problem? She was already seeing someone at the time. So, I did what any guy in that situation would do: quietly admired her from afar and stayed in the background, like the single guy in the group who's always around but never quite in the spotlight. Fast forward a bit, and life had other plans. Hermione was single, and suddenly, I could talk to her more. My heart skipped a beat, and I realized it was time to stop being the "lurker" and take my shot. So, I shoot my shot - and to my surprise, she actually said yes! And just like that, I went from the guy who admired her from a distance to the luckiest guy in the world. The next seven years were an absolute rollercoaster with all the craziness that comes with it. We navigated the chaos of COVID together, decided to move out and start our own adventure, and somehow managed to keep our sanity intact. We welcomed our first pet, Princess Prickles (PP), and then followed that up with who I call the White Menace, Marlow, who for some reason thinks he runs the household. (Spoiler alert: He doesn't.) Then came December 2023, and we took our first big international trip to Asia. Surrounded by the stunning beauty of sand, ocean, and me awkwardly trying to lure her into our villa, it was then that I popped the question. So, there, in the beautiful paradise of Naka Island, Thailand, I asked Hermione to spend forever with me. And here we are now, about to take the biggest leap of all. I can't wait for the rest of our journey together - full of love, laughter, and hopefully fewer "SHUT UP, MARLOW" moments.
