It Started with a Swipe
While Rashad claims he didn’t swipe first, we all know the truth… Since Rashad was making the trek out to Bakersfield, Amreen took the liberty of planning the date — strolling the farmer’s market, bowling, grabbing food, and playing arcade games (Amreen had to make sure he was okay with losing and was a patient shopper!). Despite a full day of activities, we still wanted more time together. Along the way, we bonded over our love of basketball and Thai food, being nerds, and so much more. From the very beginning, we felt like the perfect complement to each other. A year later, we said “Qubool Hai” in an intimate nikkah in November 2025 in Bakersfield, CA. Now, we’re excited to celebrate our walimah with all of you!

We appreciate the thought, but we do not have a traditional gift registry for physical items. To keep things simple on the day of the event, we kindly request no boxed gifts at the venue. Thank you!

The country club has a parking lot. If that is full, you can park along the side street (Porter Valley Dr or Singing Hills Dr).
