Despite being co-workers for over a year, our friendship began when we both ended up at the same bar during a night out in Baltimore. Feelings soon developed, quicker for Taylor than Rachel (IYKYK), and we haven’t looked back since.
Taylor proposed on April 19, 2024 at home with help from our dogs, Fitz and Albus. That evening he set up a surprise dinner at Limoncello in Locust Point, where we had our first official date on January 29, 2020.
Getting married at the George Peabody Library is an absolute dream. Beyond its obvious beauty, it has a deep history rooted in Baltimore, a city we both love so much and are excited to share with our guests. The Peabody Institute, in which the George Peabody Library is located, was founded in 1857 by George Peabody, a Massachusetts-born philanthropist. He dedicated the Peabody Institute to the citizens of Baltimore in appreciation of their “kindness and hospitality.” The George Peabody Library opened in 1878 and is renowned for its striking architectural interior. The Peabody Stack Room contains five tiers of ornamental cast-iron balconies, which rise dramatically to the skylight 61 feet above the floor. The library’s collection includes 300,000 volumes, mainly from the 18th and 19th century. Today it is part of the Special Collections Department of the Sheridan Libraries of Johns Hopkins University.
