We met on May 1st, 2021. Having recently got our first Covid vaccine and were tired of staying indoors. Yaza was the first to message Raul on OK Cupid and two days later we met for our first date. Raul was pretty smitten with Yaza from the first moment she pulled up on a scooter to their first date at the Santa Monica Promenade. We've been fortunate to travel the world from Mexico to El Salvador, Barcelona, and many more adventures to come. We first moved in with one another in January 2022 in Brentwood, Los Angeles and after a year we decided to find a more mellow place to call home. We landed in Marina, CA and couldn't be happier here together! Fast forward to earlier this year while vacationing on Kauai we got engaged! We both felt it was more about being married to one another than the wedding itself. We acted quickly and 10 weeks after getting engaged we were married! We feel so fortunate to have big loving families and fun supportive friends. And while we would have loved to celebrate with you all we chose to have a small intimate wedding with just our immediate families.
