Come mix and mingle! The groom’s family is graciously hosting a Welcome Party, and you’re invited! Attire is dressy casual.

Drinks and canapés will be served. For guests who arrive without having eaten dinner, some more-substantial food options will also be provided! IMPORTANT PARKING INFORMATION: The restaurant does not have a parking lot or valet parking. We recommend you park at the 24 hour garage located at 1990 K St NW (Atlantic Parking). It is located on the restaurant's square of buildings, less than 200 feet from the restaurant's building's entrance. Do NOT park at the lots directly to the left of the restaurant's building; they close the gates at 7 pm.

The ceremony will begin promptly at 5:30 pm and last approximately half an hour. Immediately following the ceremony there will be a cocktail hour on the third floor, and guests will have an opportunity to explore the museum. Dinner and dancing will follow.

The wedding venue is conveniently located near two of the hotel room blocks, so if you're staying at either of those hotels, you’re more than welcome to take a short walk if you’re feeling up to it! We've also reserved some rooms at a hotel just across the Potomac in Virginia, right next to a Metro station, and a hotel in Georgetown (also near a Metro station). If you don't feel like walking or the weather is inclement and you decide to use a rideshare to get to the wedding venue, please ensure your driver drops you off at the New York Avenue entrance of the venue.

It offers a free morning coffee service and has a “Local Farm to Fork” restaurant, Jardenea, that serves breakfast and dinner, as well as a cocktail lounge with a happy hour. There are a couple of cafes within two blocks of the hotel. The room rate for a king or double is $239/night (this figure includes a $29/night historic preservation fee), plus taxes and any additional fees.

The closest Metro stations to the museum are Metro Center (Red, Blue, Orange, and Silver lines) or Gallery Place-Chinatown (Red, Green, and Yellow lines). For guests staying at the Hyatt Centric in Arlington, any of the trains at the Rosslyn station (Blue, Orange, or Silver) will take you to Metro Center. Since metered street parking is minimal, you may wish to reserve your parking with SpotHero, www.spothero.com, if you plan to arrive by car. Located in one of Washington's oldest buildings, the National Portrait Gallery is also among the nation's finest examples of Greek Revival architecture. You will love the magnificent glass-ceiling courtyard!
