We met/ swiped right on Tinder. We hung out a couple of times before we made it official. Once we were official, we felt like we needed a cover story of how we met when we told our grandparents and other relatives. We eventually came up with the story of us meeting at Starbucks and that I had asked for his phone number when giving him his order. After about a month, family started to pick up that this wasn't the truth at all, and we eventually told everyone that we met online!
We had a tripped plan to go to Lake Tahoe with his family. For me, it was a normal day with a long drive ahead of us, a relaxed afternoon, and a nice dinner planned. For him, it was a day full of nerves and excitement. I was told we had a dinner planned with one of his brothers and his sister-in-law's friend. Once we get ready and leave for dinner, we pull up to a beautiful home on a golf course. I was told we had to enter through the back because of Covid. I didn't think much of it, it was totally understandable. We entered the backyard, there are roses shaped in a heart, and me being clueless looked at Trevor and said "Oh this is cute!" I genuinely thought the backyard was set up like this just because. Shortly after looking at the roses, I looked up and saw our family, and I immediately knew what was going on. Tears were immediately steaming down. The moment was perfect, but seeing the smile on his face made the moment ten times more amazing! We are so excited to get married and share this moment with everyone!
