Lucas' Point of View

The worlds most awkward massage-

Almost 5 years ago now, I was a massage therapist and Jordan a personal trainer. One day at work, I walked by the waiting room and spotted this gorgeous boy- lime green tank top, a pair of black nike work out shorts and eye brows for DAYS. Imagine he was my next client, and sure enough he was. I'd never had anyone i was so attracted to on my massage table and this man was scheduled for an HOUR AND A HALF. The music faded in and out leading to awkward small talk but little did i know it worked. After the session (we unfortunately kept it professional :-P ) we parted ways BUT he left his number at the front desk. I desperately texted him right away and here we are, 5 years later, getting married on the anniversary of the day we met. It felt like an organic love that we're vowing to each other to make last a lifetime.

Jordan's Point of View

May the 4th 2017. Tracking back to that day, I remember I was working out at my favorite gym, OrangeTheory Fitness Dr. Phillips. I had decided to take the full day off of school and work, to have a relaxing filled “me” day. After class, my great friend, Juliana (one of our groomsmaids) suggested that maybe I should check out the spa next door to see if they have any massages available for that day. I took her advice and went in to see if they had any spots left & luckily they did. The time comes and I get taken into the back of the business to sit in a quiet waiting room. As I was waiting, I see this very handsome tatted therapist take a client back to the front lobby to check out. I start freaking out in my head, then realizing - “omg, could HE be my therapist?”. Sure enough. He comes back with clipboard and calls my name. As I was back getting set up in the room, I texted Juliana and my friends, telling them how hot he was and how nerv racking this massage was going to be. By the end, I was consistently thinking of how I could somehow ask this man out. I didn’t have the guts to ask him for his number, and face rejection, plus I was already thinking to myself, “surely this man is taken”. As I was cashing out, I asked the receptionist if she could give him my phone number. Sure enough. That night I get a text message from him, and after that day we were unseparated. I just find it so crazy to think that making those decisions that one day, could bring us where we are now - almost 5 years later.
