How We Met

8.05.2018

The short version: We met online and we both swiped right. (Thank you, Bumble) The long version: Yes, online dating is not the most “exciting” story to share on how we met, but it’s the truth. From the beginning, our conversation and connection was far greater than any other we had experienced with these dating apps. It didn’t take long for us to notice there was something special between us. We had a lot in common; we often joked how scary it was how similar we were. Our constant texts and phone calls were becoming a daily routine, where we confided secrets and hopes. We still had never met in person, so Kyle took things to the next step and scheduled our first date. We settled to meet for dinner. Finally getting to see one another face to face, our first date was wonderful. Kyle quickly set up another date for the next day. Our relationship became official in a natural way as if the two of us had always been together. Our love had developed quickly. The rest is history when you find “the one”, you just know!

The Proposal

2.04.2019

The proposal came after only six months of dating. Yes, all our friends and families were amazed by the timing of the proposal, but everyone, from the bottom of their hearts, knew that it was not a mistake or a hasty decision. Our first romantic night date was at The Melting Pot in Coral Springs. That evening, Kyle had the table decorated with roses and managed to create a very romantic atmosphere. Six months later, Kyle had planned a special date night for our “half-iversary”. We went to the same Melting Pot, and when we arrived the hostess started walking us toward the same table we had the first time. When we got closer to the table, Stephanie looked said when she had noticed their original table was already occupied. As soon as we passed our original table, she noticed the candles, the roses scattered around, and the large "WILL YOU MARRY ME?" lights on the table. Shocked, ecstatic and crying all at the same time, Stephanie didn’t even notice Kyle kneeling on the floor beside her with the ring in his hand, patiently waiting for her to turn around to see him. She was focused on the table, and the guests sitting next to their table taking photos. It was Kyle’s brother and sister-in-law capturing photos of the entire proposal, sitting in their original spot. Kyle eventually had to grab Stephanie’s hand for attention. At that moment, she realized what was happening, and so many tears of joy fell from her eyes. He asked, and she said yes. February 4th, 2019 had quickly become the best day of our lives.
