It's all happening!

The first date occurred from an online match. The two didn't like each other (or so they say) after the first date. Most of us can recall Elizabeth saying "he's nice but... he has dogs" all those months ago. Shaun certainly has converted her. After just six weeks of dating, Shaun and Elizabeth set off for their first international trip together to Portugal and Spain.

After that first trip together, they knew they were going to spend many more years traveling and exploring as a couple. Two years later, they have now visited over 12 countries and more cities than they can count together. Shaun and Elizabeth, have kayaked in the Pacific Northwest, skied in Utah, visited the mountains of Whistler, ridden bikes all over the Nations Capital, gone to more hockey games than Elizabeth can count, been to numerous concerts, and tasted wine in every place they go!

While celebrating Shaun's 40th birthday on a trip to Italy, he pulled off the surprise of a lifetime for Elizabeth. He waited until the last day of the vacation when the couple climbed to the top of the Duomo in Florence. Once at the peak, Shaun shocked Elizabeth when he pulled out a ring and got down on one knee. There was a champagne toast shortly after of course!

While they call the DC area home, Shaun and Elizabeth now have vacation homes at the beach and in the mountains so they travel often. Their lives are filled with their three pups: Maddie-the-puppy, Slevin-the-bulldog, and Junior-the-grandpa-dog. They are certainly busy but are having the time of their lives!
