We first met from a mutual friend. We saw each other at the hospital in the ambulance bay. At the time Lauren was on a transfer ambulance and Landon was on the fire truck. One day when Lauren was at a friend's show one of Landon's mom's coworkers came in (Lauren played soccer with her daughter years ago), and asked if Lauren was seeing anyone because she had the perfect person for her. Lauren asked who and of course she said, "Landon McDaniel." She then said she was going to tell his mom at work the next day. Lauren then facebook messaged Landon, and said, "So your mom's coworker is going to tell your mom that we should date at work tomorrow." Landon responded back, "well that's not a bad idea," being the guy that he is. So we then started hanging out for a few months before Landon got the courage to finally ask me to be his girlfriend on 9/16/2016.
Landon and I like to take trips to the Northwoods to a family member's cabin in Wisconsin. The cabin is beautiful all seasons of the year, but the winter up at the cabin is Landon's favorite. The snow was covering the lane back to the cabin, but it was just warm enough to take a walk. This was something we do every time we are at the cabin (In the photos is a picture of us from our first trip to the cabin in the snowy season in 2017). As we were walking down the lane Landon asked to stop and take a picture in an unusual spot that I thought was too close to the house, because it would be in the picture. Little did I know that he wanted to take a picture there because he had his phone sat up on the back of the car to video the special moment. With the perfect ring he got down on one knee and of course, I said yes!
