It was 2010 and MySpace was still thriving. Alex had just transferred to Chandler High and was finishing up her sophomore year. She was timid, quiet, and kept to her group of friends. Brian had just graduated and was a LAX bro superstar. He was not yet the boot wearin', mullet rockin' cowboy we know and love today. 2010 Brian was all about the v-necks, skinny jeans, and skater hair. Somehow they came across each other on good ol’ MySpace that summer. They began talking in the fall, and there was a spark. Brian had asked Alex to go to his brother’s scrimmage football game. He wore his best skinny jeans and a cute walking boot to support one of his many broken bones. When the game was over, he invited her for some fine dining… Taco Bell, of course! Alex was not a fan of the Bell at the time, but went anyway. If you know Brian and Alex, their first hangout was as you would expect, awkward. The time came to say goodbye and Alex and Brian shared their first kiss in the whimsical ambiance of the Taco Bell parking lot! But wait... they've only been together for 4 years… What happened to this destined romance that resulted 6 years later?! We’ll get into that later... After 6 years and a lot of growth, they finally found each other again. To this day, at every Vaca taco night, at least one person brings up Brian's noticeable absence at the very first taco night a decade ago. They found themselves a little older, a little wiser, and a lot more comfortable in their own skin. Alex is still quiet but definitely not timid (ask any of her employees). Brian traded in his skinny jeans and skater hair for boots and an amazing mullet, which Alex also can't resist. They both love each other exactly as they are, and it has been a wonderful love story to watch unfold. Things have certainly changed a lot since 2010, but one thing will always remain a constant… tacos!
