Our wedding date has changed.

Brett and I first met while I was visiting my best friend, Kayla. She happened to be visiting Jacque, Brett’s sister, at that time in Rockford. So up I went to his sister’s house to spend some quality time. Intially, Kayla and I were to go shopping, but I changed my mind when I saw Brett. I casually suggested a game night at the house to get to know him more. Once all the games and dinner had concluded, I stated that I was headed home. I had the notion that Brett would pull me aside and ask for my number, but that didn’t happen. As I was backing out of the driveway, I see Brett running full speed ahead towards my car. At this point my heart is racing as I roll down my window. Brett catches up and says: “Would I be able to get your number?” *Breathe*.....Yes Lord Hallelujah! You can definetly have my number....and that was it. A week later we went our on 1st date and had an instant conection.

To keep it simple, we were in Clearwater, Florida taking an inpromtu vacation, which had us both extremely elated. I had hoped that Brett would take this beautiful opportunity to propose and thankfully he did. On February 9th, 2019 at Pier 60 during sunset, he knelt onto 1 knee and held out a ring. Honestly, i have no idea what he said because I was too busy saying yes. 😄 I cried, Brett teared up, and the lady next to us cried and took our photo haha.

Brett and I are beyond excited to share our big day with everyone at Oak Lane in Oregon, IL on September 25th, 2020.
