Dakota and Cassie started dating during a music fundraiser. They both attended Plainfield High School and meet during lunch with a common group of friends. They both marched in the marching band where Dakota was playing on tenors and Cassie was in the color guard. This fundraiser was March for Music and it was an all night fundraiser where they walked around the hallways of the school raising money to help fund their trip to Washington DC. It was 3am and Cassie and Dakota were the only two walking. That when Dakota asked Cassie if she wanted to date him while comparing her to a computer. She agreed and from there on out, they were inseparable.
