POSTPONED ...again

Third times a charm, right?

Due to the current state of affairs with rising cases across the country, closed international borders, and sadly where our careers and industries lie, we regret to inform you that we’ve made the tough decision to postpone our wedding to September 2021. We will send out postcards with details as things progress. We apologize for the inconvenience and the rollercoaster of emails you’ve received, but we are so grateful for the love and support we have felt over the last couple months as we have tried to navigate these uncharted territories. This was not an easy decision, but we feel it is for the best. We know one thing for sure… when we do finally get married, we hope you’re ready to party and dance with us all night. Love to you all! xoxo Ally & Nathan

How We Met

NOT quite love at first sight

Nathan and Ally met while attending school at Webster Conservatory in St. Louis, MO. Being two years her senior, both going to school for separate theatre degrees, the school itself was small enough to see familiar faces around but big enough not to know everyone. Nathan and Ally found themselves at the same house party- where Nathan was hitting on three of Ally's friends (not uncommon for the lady-killer). Nathan: "It was not three of them!" Ally: "(laughs) well it was more than one. I was not a fan at first- I called him over and said "hey- I know you don't know who I am, but you can't keep hitting on all my friends you have to pick ONE" This is when Nathan responded with a charming "oh I know who you are... and I'm not hitting on all your friends" Nathan: "I wasn't!" Ally: "oh but you were... " A couple years passed and we kind of ran in a similar circle where we saw each other at outings and parties, and Nathan is originally from St. Louis so after he graduated he had stayed to live with his mom to save up and eventually move to New York.. (Thank God he did!!!) Ally: "In a time of Facebook messenger I had noticed that he had posted something a photo of him and his dad at a young age , and being the class act stalker that I am, I was curious as to why that was. The comments read "I'm sorry for your loss, he was such a good guy" etc and my heart just broke. I reached out to him via FB messenger and said "hey I'm really sorry about your loss" - his response was "oh I actually lost him a couple years ago but thank you" and that opened up the floodgates to conversation, and the rest is history. Ally: "At a time when both of us were not looking for anything serious, let alone to find a life partner, we kind of fell into each other's lap. And I think we have Nathan's Dad to thank for that. "

The Proposal!

We'll always have Paris

"I'll never get tired of telling this story" -Ally Nathan had been in France for a work. This was a trip that had been planned for quite some time and Ally knew that she would be meeting Nathan after his work in Paris, which is a place she's ALWAYS wanted to go. It was the second day of the trip and it was very go with flow, (rumor has it that it was Ally's favorite day pre-proposal!) After putzing around on lime scooters they had to get home to get ready for a nice dinner. While getting ready Nathan asked "Hey, can we leave a little early because there's a park that I never got to go to when I came to Paris before and it's in that area.. do you mind if we stop by?" So they set off for the Jardin De Luxemburg! It was close to sunset and people were walkin' around. Ally noticed this gorgeous fountain almost first thing and went to take a picture of it. At this point Nathan spots a french man with a very nice camera and asks if he could take our photo-- Nathan is now officially shaking (theres a pre photo of this in our gallery!) "This is when I knew something was up"-Ally Nathan grabs Ally's hands and (at this point, Ally blacks out completely and won’t remember a thing. It would be later that she’d ask him to repeat himself) gets down on one knee. Ally starts saying "Oh no, oh no”—which is, um, not exactly what Nathan wants to hear—but eventually lands on a “yes.” A crowd has formed, people are cheering, Ally's crying, and so many beautiful French people are coming up to wish us a happy marriage. One French woman came up and offered her last tissue, and even her friend was crying! To top it all off, it turns out that the French man with the camera was hired by Nathan to take photos of the moment. "It was truly a fairytale and I'll never forget it.”—Ally
