It all started in August 2024, with a message that made me roll my eyes and smile at the same time: “Don’t tell me you’re a 49ers fan…” That was James’ opening line—playful, bold, and exactly the kind of energy that caught my attention. From there, it didn’t take long. Through constant calls, laughs, and late-night conversations, something real began to grow between us. Just a few days in, James told me he knew he wanted to marry me. And not long after that, we set a date to make our union official in the eyes of Allah.
