Answer

These color swatches are to help you choose your wedding outfit! Don’t feel stuck by these, they’re just a guideline! Have fun with it! For our dress code, when we say “show up and show out” we mean it! We wanna see the most fashionable fits you can put together (without being uncomfortable of course!) Our only restrictions are to not wear all white (don't be tacky, but mixed in with other colors is perfectly fine!) and to avoid wearing a fully-maroon look (this will be Griffin's ensemble!)

Answer

No! We are only asking for cash. We feel that’s easiest for y’all and for us! We will accept cash, checks, or Venmo. Any amount you would like to share is more than welcome!

Where should I stay in Milledgeville if I’m traveling from out of town?

Answer

There are a surprising number of quaint Air BnB’s around the lake if you don’t want a hotel! But the La Quinta on N Columbia is clean and perfectly suitable for a weekend stay!

What are we eating? Will there be vegetarian options?

Answer

We are having a taco bar provided by Surcheros Mexican Grill! There should be a variety of protein options, including beans and other grilled veggies. We suggest contacting the restaurant if you’re concerned about cross-contamination.

What’s the parking like?

Answer

There is limited street parking near the inn, but the doctor's office directly next door will be closed on the weekend so you should have no trouble parking there! If that parking lot ends up being full for whatever reason, guests are welcome to park a short walking distance away at the Mary Vinson Memorial Library located at 151 S Jefferson St SE.

Why do I need to pay for my own alcohol?

Answer

Point blank: alcohol is very expensive. We wanna have a good time but we’re definitely ballin on a budget. We will have a limited selection of Athens local beer and a couple of wines. The Inn also has a self-serve bar located on the first floor that guests are welcome to use and pay for at their leisure. They have a respectable collection of some liquor and mixers, but if you want something in particular you are more than welcome to bring it with you!

What is there to do in Milledgeville if I’m not from there?

Lindsay’s answer: Honestly bestie? Not very much. Griffin’s answer: go fishin’ All jokes aside, visitmilledgeville.com has some cool historic sites to visit. If you want to visit Lindsay’s alma mater, GMC’s campus is quite beautiful. Downtown is small but quaint and has some cute little shops and restaurants to eat at!
