Minneapolis is home to 22 lakes in the city alone! Bde Maka Ska is just one of those and is part of the Chain of Lakes. Check out this, Lake of the Isles, Lake Nokomis, or Lake Harriet depending on where you're staying and stroll around, rent a kayak, have a beer, and take in the views.
If you're looking to catch a show while you're in town, Berlin is a cute little jazz bar (that happens to be right next door to Tasha's work). Cozy up and listen to some tunes, then pop over to Porzana for the best steak and an even better vodka martini.
Minnehaha Falls is gorgeous to wander around and get a dose of green while in the middle of a city. You can even jump over a little gate and walk behind the falls for a really cool view from inside the falls (we didn't tell you to do this). After walking around, grab some fish tacos from Sea Salt Eatery. The line is worth it, we promise.
As much as we'd love to have extra bodies on the dance floor, we have finalized the guest list and do not have any extra spots for plus ones. If a plus one has been extended to you, their name is listed alongside yours on the invitation. We appreciate you understanding and can't wait to celebrate with you!
While we love all the kids, our wedding is a grown-ups only event! We hope that you'll enjoy the night off with your partner to drink and dance and have a fun time together.
There is no specific dress code in place for our wedding. We want you to wear something that will make you feel sexy, comfortable, and fun!
The majority of our guests are local, and because of this we've decided against booking any hotel accommodations. If you're looking for a place to stay, there are a ton of great hotels and airbnbs. A few hotels that are recommended by our venue include Hotel Alma, The Graduate, Hewing Hotel, and Hotel Ivy. If you're looking to stay at an airbnb near the venue, the neighborhoods of Merriam Park or Macalester-Groveland are lovely. If you're looking to stay in Minneapolis, we recommend the neighborhoods of North Loop, Kingfield, Linden Hills, or Whittier.
Vandalia Tower (where the wedding and reception are being held) has a large parking lot with ample space if you choose to drive. However, you should know that our venue isn't liable for anything that may happen to your car and they do not recommend leaving it parked overnight. Our recommendation would be to safely Uber and/or Lyft to and from the wedding, or have a designated driver for the evening. Let us know how we can help you get to and from our wedding safely!
