Maid of Honor
The bride is Alexis’s only cousin on her dad’s side. Virginia considers Alexis and Alexis’s brother Luke to have been her only “siblings” growing up. The bride spent many nights at Alexis and Luke’s house when it was her dad’s weekend. Growing up they were always forced to be outside no matter the season. They were always busy, never bored, and constantly coming up with creative imaginary games. In the summer they would ride horses, go swimming, and spend time picking raspberries from their Grandpa’s garden. Their Grandpa Moby has since passed away and they miss him dearly and wish he could be here on their wedding days. They enjoy reminiscing all of the memories and fun stories about their Grandpa as it brings them so much joy. Their Grandpa’s favorite thing to do was be on the water in a boat. Virginia’s favorite memories with Alexis were made on Alexis’s family boat. Alexis and Virginia never wanted to get off the tube, and insisted on staying on it even when they would just be cruising around slowly. Alexis is very compassionate, has one of the biggest hearts, and always does the right thing. The bride was so grateful to have Alexis growing up, and is so lucky to call her cousin. She loves her dearly.
Maid of Honor
Emily is also the brides cousin, but this time on her mom’s side. Emily and the bride were very close when they were little, and no one could break them apart. Even their Grandma would dress them in matching outfits!! When Emily was learning to talk no one could understand what she was saying except Virginia. Emily would say something and everyone would look at Virginia to ask what she said. It’s safe to say they had a special connection from day one. Emily and Virginia were born into a family that is very passionate about bear hunting. They spent their mornings getting up at the crack of dawn to help load dogs, and they spent their evenings riding around in Grandpas truck helping bait. They were always keeping busy and enjoyed the north woods lifestyle. From four wheeling, to roasting marshmallows on the campfire, to naming all of the new puppies they truly loved their life up north, and there wasn’t a single worry. They would often run around the cabin barefoot on the gravel driveway and all of the hunters would say they were crazy! Virginia and Emily have grown even closer over this last year as they are both each other’s maid of honors. At first they were nervous to both be getting married in the same year, but it couldn’t have worked out any better. The bride is extremely lucky to have Emily and can’t thank her enough.
Bridesmaid
Taylor is one of the brides longest friendships. Their moms graduated together and were very close. It was only fitting that Taylor and Virginia quickly became best friends the moment they met. Dating all the way back to 5th grade Taylor and Virginia have remained extremely close. They have made some pretty amazing memories over the years. The first time Virginia truly felt her relationship grow closer with Taylor was when Taylors family invited her to join them at the Crandon races. Ever since then whenever there was a trip where their families allowed them to bring a friend they always knew who they were asking. In high school Virginia spent a lot of time at Taylor’s house, and would keep her company whenever her parents were out of town. Taylor was the “cool one” that got her drivers license early, while Virginia was the “lame one” and didn’t get a car until her senior year of high school. Even though they didn’t live close to one another Taylor was always willing to go out of her way to give Virginia rides to and from school. No matter how much or how little they see one another Virginia and Taylor always seem to pick up right where they left off. It’s truly as if they never miss a beat. Taylor and Virginia have been there for one another through the good and the bad times. The bride can’t thank Taylor enough for the endless love she has shown her.
Bridesmaid
Kaitlyn is another long friendship of the bride. Also dating back to 5th grade Kaitlyn and Virginia met in hoops club basketball. Kaitlyn would also give Virginia rides to school, or after away basketball games when they would get home at the crack of dawn. They have made some pretty memorable memories in “the van” one of them being Virginia face planting out of it as she didn’t realize it was still moving!! Kaitlyn and Virginia’s spunky personalities balance each other very well. Their friends enjoy the amusement of their banter. These two truly love to give one another a hard time. Of course it’s all fun and games, but Virginia loves that she can get that side out of Kaitlyn. Kaitlyn has taught the bride to be more selfless, while the bride pushes Kaitlyn to be more selfish. Kaitlyn is someone that has always been there for the bride and will do anything she asks. I don’t think she’s ever missed a birthday and was the only one to go out with her for her 21st despite it being a Covid year. Kaitlyn gives the best advice, and always knows what to say. She has supported the bride in every major life decision, and is one of her most comforting friends. She would be lost without her.
Bridesmaid
Kennedy and the bride met in middle school. Virginia was in 7th grade while Kennedy was in 6th grade. Even though they weren’t in the same grade that didn’t stop them from forming an attachment. Virginia spent a lot of time at the Kratz household and considers them to be a second family to her. Her favorite memory at their household was waking up on her birthday to a make shift party before school with balloons, a lit cake, and the entire family singing to her. It is to this day one of her favorite birthdays! Virginia appreciates Kennedy’s honesty and values her opinion strongly. She envies Kennedy’s ambition, and often looks up to her. What Virginia loves most about their friendship is that she always feels better whenever she gets off the phone with Kennedy. She gives the best reassurance! The bride is so thankful to have Kennedy in her life. Although she wishes she lived closer so they could see each other more often, Virginia looks forward to Kennedy’s trips home and values their time together so much more.
Bridesmaid
Rachelle and Virginia have been friends for 8 years. They met working together at Texas Roadhouse. Virginia started as a host, when she became a server Rachelle was the first person she connected with and felt safe to ask any “stupid questions” to. Virginia was extremely heartbroken when Rachelle quit Texas Roadhouse and worried they would drift apart. That couldn’t be further from the truth. If anything they’ve grown closer since. Rachelle and Virginia have lived through many different stages of their lives together. They have made many memories, shared lots of tears, and many laughs. They have been there for one another through it all. Virginia always says that Rachelle is her biggest cheerleader and number one fan. She is always there for Virginia whether it be for a shoulder to cry on, or to pop a bottle of champagne to celebrate her victories! Virginia feels so blessed to have met Rachelle and can’t thank her enough for her friendship, and continued support through life’s journeys.
Bridesmaid
Mya and the bride also met at Texas Roadhouse. They grew close by sharing a bond of being the only employees in the establishment to be born and raised north of Green Bay. They quickly learned that they had much in common. Mya was a bartender, so once Virginia became one as well it was game over and they were inseparable ever since. Mya and Virginia have the same sense of humor and their favorite thing to do during a shift is quote funny movies together! Mya was actually one of the grooms roommates when they first met, and they would all go out together after their shifts. Mya is one of the few people to have witnessed the bride and grooms entire relationship from the start. Mya is the friend that Virginia never knew she needed. She has shown Virginia love in ways no one else ever has before. She can’t thank her enough for always being there for her no matter the circumstances.
Shot Girl
Laiken is one of the brides shortest friendships, but it feels like they have known each other their whole lives. Laiken and Virginia met working together at Texas Roadhouse. As many other coworkers say Laiken’s first impression of the bride was not favorable. However with time Laiken got to know Virginia’s true personality and the bride soon won Laiken over. They have been obsessed with each other ever since. Laiken is the brides “fun friend” No matter what Laiken and Virginia seem to be doing with one another they always seem to laugh until they have tears. Whether it be a simple FaceTime call or going out together on the town. They have made some pretty memorable memories that will get taken to the grave. Laiken is one of those friends that you can always count on she will never bail on you. Every event Virginia has ever hosted Laiken is always the first one to arrive, the last one to leave, and always shows up with more than asked. The bride is so blessed that Laiken came into her life, she has enjoyed these last four years and is looking forward to making many more crazy memories within the years to come.
Shot Girl
Leah and the bride also met at Texas Roadhouse. Virginia was drawn to Leah’s upbeat and explosive personality. Leah has a very big heart and is always willing to help others. When they first became friends Virginia was 18 and Leah was 20. They have watched each other grow from innocent teenagers to the strong independent women they are today. They connected over the bond they shared of each of them having a significantly younger sibling. I think they both cried during an episode of the bachelor when one of the women shared a photo of her sibling that was 18 years younger than her. Their friendship grew closer during Covid when things “to do” were limited. Leah would often come over to the bride and grooms first apartment where they would have wine and paint nights or enjoy playing a game of cards. Virginia and Leah have been there for one another through some very dark times. Their friendship has been tested many times with all of the curveballs life has thrown at them. Through it all they have managed to find a way to remain a constant in one another’s life. The bride could not have picked a better friend to go through all of the good and the bad times with. She is very blessed to have Leah in her life.
Best Man
Chris and the groom were childhood best friends. They grew up like brothers, they lived in the same neighborhood and would play ghosts in the graveyard with everyone, but they always chose to hide together. Chris considers PJ’s family to be his own. Chris practically lived at PJ’s house and they would sleep head to toe. They were inseparable and spent every living and breathing moment together. PJ’s favorite memory with Chris was when Chris officially moved in with PJ’s family in 9th grade. PJ’s mother loved Chris as her own son and would always make sure Chris was okay, constantly asking if he needed anything. When Chris moved away, PJ was devastated. He truly felt like he was losing a brother, but knew it was for the best as Chris deserved a better life. The groom looks forward to Chris’s visits home and wishes they could see one another more often. Chris has been a solid rock of a friend over the years and the groom would be lost without him.
Best Man
Jeff and PJ first met playing wolverines football together. PJ truly felt loved when Jeff’s family offered to bring him to Wisconsin Dells as he had no ride so they could play in the championship game. Their friendship has grown closer into adulthood as they work construction together during the day. The grooms favorite memory with Jeff was when Jeff brought PJ up north to the U.P during the summer. PJ experienced jumping off the rocks in Lake Michigan, kayaking, four wheeling, waterfalls, and playing corn hole. PJ was going through a hard time, and loved that he got to be a kid again. Jeff is very funny, and always makes sure PJ has a good time. He always has PJ’s back, and is the first one to call the bride when the groom has overslept and is running late. The groom thanks Jeff for remaining a constant in his life, he’s never left his side, while always making sure his head is held high. Love you Jeff.
Groomsman
Michael is the grooms brother. At first he was that little brother that would always annoy the groom. Michael always begged to hang out with Chris and PJ, but they insisted he was too little. They soon realized that it wasn’t fair to leave him with the girls. Seeing as Michael was PJ’s only brother they took him under their wings and allowed him to join their fun. PJ’s favorite memories with Michael were spent in the car driving to South Carolina for their family vacations. Even though he is shy, Michael has a very out going personally once you get to know him, with an even bigger heart just like the groom. PJ loves his brother very much, and is so blessed to have that one brother that will always be there no matter what.
Groomsman
Joe is a cousin to the groom. PJ and Joe have made many memories together, including countless vacations taken with one another. They grew up going to the YMCA to play basketball as they would often whoop all of the old men. The grooms favorite memory with Joe was going to the cookouts at Dawn and Claude’s house. Including the one time they were going to jump in the pool, filled with excitement PJ ran through the screen door as he didn’t realize it was there. The bride and groom actually lived with Joe their entire first year dating. The bride would force them to do family activities like carving pumpkins, or decorating the Christmas tree. There were many memories made in that house that the three of them will cherish forever. They can’t thank Joe enough for everything he has done for them. PJ is very indebted to Joe for helping him quickly turn into an adult once PJ moved out of his mom’s house.
Groomsman
Ty and the grooms friendship dates all the way back to 6th grade. Although they split apart due to Ty moving to a different school that didn’t stop them from remaining friends. PJ would always see Ty in the newspaper throwing no hitters and PJ wanted to be just like him. They rekindled their friendship through the best man Jeff after high school, and they’ve never skipped a beat since. He has a great personality and always knows how to put a smile on someone’s face. He is often known as the planner of the group, and always finds a way to get everyone together. PJ is grateful that Ty always includes PJ in everything he plans even if it’s just to hangout at Ty’s house to watch the game. PJ’s favorite memory and now tradition with Ty is celebrating the Fourth of July together every year. PJ is lucky to have such a great friend like Ty around, and he thanks him for always bringing out everyone’s fun side.
Groomsman
Cole and the groom met in high school and they grew close as they shared many classes together. Cole was that friend that was always willing to give the guys rides, which included going to countless parties. Their friendship grew stronger when Cole and Chris would always be waiting PJ’s arrival after his shifts at Texas Roadhouse. They would “kick it” in PJ’s room. When Cole told Chris and PJ he was joining the Navy, PJ was devastated because it felt like he was losing a brother. However the groom couldn’t have been more supportive or happy for Cole as he was fulfilling his dreams to fight for our country. PJ’s favorite memory with Cole was his last day in Green Bay before he fled to the Navy as Cole, Chris, and PJ had one last hooray that he’ll never forget. Cole is a great friend, and always makes sure PJ is doing well.
Groomsman
Damo and PJ are cousins and grew up spending countless hours at the boys and girls club. Their fathers were extremely close and PJ spent a lot of time at Damo’s house to shoot hoops. They grew closer as they went on vacations together. His favorite memory with Damo was when they were on a trip to Florida, and no one else wanted to go out to the bars. The two of them went out on the town and had the time of their lives. However it wasn’t until the grooms mom passed away that PJ realized how good of a friend Damo was. Damo never left PJ’s corner and would check up on him every single day. He can’t thank Damo enough for being there for him during all the good and the bad times.
Usher
Zane and PJ’s moms were sisters. They grew up like brothers as their moms were always together. At one time they all lived together under the same roof. Zane also moved in with the bride and groom during his freshman year of college. This was the year Covid hit and campuses were shut down. They watched every possible tv series and played every game known to man kind. They all grew extremely close and were very fortunate to get that time spent together. PJ’s favorite memory with Zane was when they would play countless one on one basketball games. PJ always knew Zane was going to become a successful man, due to his immaculate work ethic. The groom could not be more proud of the man Zane has become. He is honored to call Zane his blood cousin and wouldn’t trade him for the world.
Usher
Jonny is the best man Chris’s brother. PJ has known Jonny since the 4th grade. Growing up PJ was only allowed to have one friend spend the night. He would often choose Jonny over Chris because Jonny was older and PJ always wanted an older brother. Chris would be devastated and always storm home. His favorite memory with Jonny was when they would record one another break dancing to the song just lose it by Eminem, and they would play countless card games like circle of death. PJ is very lucky to have Jonny in his life, and is so grateful for all of the memories they have made. He can’t wait to make many more in the future.
