We had both tried dating apps in the past, including this one Zoosk. We had both stopped believing we could not find that one person we were looking for. Yet, we both decided to give Zoosk a try. Phil sent me a message, it took me several days for me to respond, but I did. From the first conversation, I think we both knew this was going to be quite different. Our conversations were immediately open and honest. It took several weeks to find time to meet for the first time. It was summer, so we decided to meet at Phil's house to head to the river nearby. Afterward we returned, sat on the swing on his porch and continued to enjoy the rest of the day. Our first hello was a long hug in front of my red Honda Accord. I must admit I was not into the southern accent, nor was he into my Yankees accent so he said. We made each other laugh, share our music , dance on the porch so much. Every evening, we began to look forward to each other's messages. It felt like we knew each other, even before we finally met. OH! I cannot leave out he made me homemade ice cream from scratch with his grandfather ice cream maker. His big blue eyes were candy to my eyes, my Frank Sinatra. We are totally the opposite of each other, but it is a good balance. We have spent nearly every weekend hanging out together. Who knew that three years later we decided to spend the rest of our lives together. So even though we both hated dating apps, we are very thankful that we decided to give Zoosk a try.
