For direct flights from Melbourne to Ho Chi Minh City (also known as Saigon), the cheapest is usually VietJet (overnight) and Jetstar. Please land at least 1 day before to rest for an early start.

Do we require visas to enter Vietnam?

Answer

Yes, Australians require tourist visas to enter Vietnam. You can get a single entry or even multiple entry if required. Online link: https://evisa.gov.vn/ If you hold a different passport, you may not require a visa.

What hotel should I book in Ho Chi Minh City?

Most hotels are centrally located in the District 1 of Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) and any hotel there is a short driving distance from our venue in District 4. If you need help or recommendations, please let me know.

What's the best way for transport to and from venues?

Answer

The best way is via the Grab app, which is the local and cheaper version of Uber. GrabCar can seat 4 - 7 people depending on the option you choose (e.g. standard or XL). Be sure to select card payment when setting up your account, so each ride is already prepaid once completed.

What's the dress code?

Answer

Semi formal for the lunch ceremony, and more relaxed for the dinner party as you will have time to return to your accommodation, freshen up and change. Keep in mind the weather is hot and humid, though we will be indoors where there is air conditioning.
