We first connected on Hinge in late August 2022. Melissa was particularly drawn to the picture of Phil wearing a Panthers pullover and drinking a Bloody Mary at Topgolf. Phil was drawn to the pictures showing Melissa's adventurous side - like the one of her kayaking in the ocean. We agreed to a first date at Town Brewing and met there after a busy day at work. As cliché as it sounds, we both knew immediately that we would have a future together. In the months that followed, we spent more and more time together, not only in Charlotte and Belmont, but also at the beach and mountains and in Mexico and Europe. As time went on, we both became confident we wanted to spend the rest of our lives together. On an unassuming Sunday in March 2024, Phil suggested we go to Rosie's Wine Garden in NoDa. After splitting a bottle of wine, we walked through the gardens and Phil found a quiet spot to get on one knee and propose! Melissa said yes and then we went to Town Brewing, the spot of our first date, for celebratory dinner and drinks, just the two of us. Now, we are having so much fun planning our wedding together and can't wait to celebrate with you all!

Matron of Honor
Leila and I lived together for three years in college, where we spent many, many nights staying up way too late talking. Our phone dates now could last for hours too.
Bridesmaid
Brittany and I met as morning news producers at Channel 9 and we quickly expanded our friendship outside the newsroom. We've traveled the world together and shared countless cheeseboards and bottles of wine.
Bridesmaid
Adriana and I became friends our senior year of high school. She's the best at supporting and celebrating everyone around her - including planning epic girls weekends.
Bridesmaid
Charleigh was my first friend in college. We met before classes even started! She and I backpacked through the Grand Canyon together in 2016 - one of my favorite adventures.
Bridesmaid
Anna Lee and I met our freshman year of college. We've had fun continuing that friendship as adults in Charlotte, especially now with Phil joining the mix too.
Bridesmaid
Claire and I first met as Girl Scouts in elementary school, reconnected in high school and then lived together for seven years after college. We joke we almost had a common law marriage.
Welcome Attendant
Madi is Phil's brother's girlfriend. The two of them are the best match!
Welcome Attendant
Austin is my sister-in-law. I always wanted a sister and am thrilled Daniel met her and brought her into our family.
Flower Girl
Annie is my niece. She's the happiest little girl, always smiling!
Best Man
Phil Senior is the best dad a man could ask for. He's not only my father, he's also my best friend. I got my love of grilling and sports from him.
Groomsman
Jack and I met in college our senior year. We've spent many days having a great time around Charlotte and tailgating for the Panthers.
Groomsman
Will is my little brother. We both share a love for our dogs and for sports.
Groomsman
Daniel is Melissa's brother. It's been great getting to know him and I look forward to more family trips over the years.
Groomsman
Matt and I met right after college and lived together several times through the years. We have spent many days exploring all over the Carolinas.
Groomsman
Dave is a great longtime friend. We've spent a lot of time together hiking and camping in the mountains.
Ring Bearer
Ozzie loves to play fetch and jump really high. He also loves to sleep at our feet and snuggle at night. He gets many compliments about how handsome he is!
Ring Bearer
DJ is Melissa's nephew and is the coolest toddler we know.
Ozzie's bodyguard
Andrew is Melissa's cousin. We can't wait for him to walk Ozzie down the aisle!
Garden Glam ;) We recommend considering the weather when choosing elevated cocktail attire for our outdoor ceremony. Avoid stilettos, because you'll be walking on grass. The reception will be indoors.
Yes! Take your allergy meds. We’ll be outside and Channel 9 Chief Meteorologist John Ahrens says the pollen is skyrocketing.
Uber and Lyft should be easily available before and after our wedding. There is also plenty of parking if you wish to drive. Important: Use the Shamrock Drive entrance to the venue. Do not use the Sharon Amity entrance.
As much as we love the children in our lives, our wedding will be an 18+ event, with the exception of the children in the wedding party.
Please RSVP by February 24, so we can give an accurate headcount to our vendors. You can RSVP on this website. Text Melissa if you have trouble.
Sure thing! Text Melissa by February 24.
This is where it all began - where we went on our first date!
This is where we got engaged. A beautiful spot for coffee or wine!
This is one of our favorite bars/restaurants in Plaza Midwood. It'd be a great place for drinks before or after the wedding.
This wine bar in Plaza Midwood would be another option for pre-wedding drinks.
This restaurant has sushi and burgers. What more could you ask for?
This is one of our favorite breweries and they have a restaurant in SouthPark.
There are several hiking trails to choose from at the Whitewater Center. Ozzie approves!
