How We Met

We grew up together at Oxford Academy, a small junior high and high school where we both entered as young 12 year old nerds who spent 4 years in close proximity to each other, but never as anything but classmates. I knew him as the little guy with the big smile, and he knew me as the frizzy-haired girl who makes the very expressive (read: weird) faces. We didn't cross paths until 10 years after our glass graduated, at our first class reunion in 2019. We started a friendship that day that quickly became more, he moved himself into my apartment and wouldn't leave, and we haven't spent more than a couple days apart since.

The address of the venue is La Petite Rose -- 1212 N Tustin St, Orange, CA 92867. Parking is plentiful and free. Please find your way to the Wedding Chapel which is a couple steps away from the entrance of La Petite Rose. Please be seated in time for ceremony start at 4:00 PM. The chapel is open to receive guests starting at 3:30 PM, please do not arrive any earlier than 3:30 PM per the venue's request. 4:00 - 4:30 PM -- Ceremony 4:30 - 5:30 -- Cocktail Hour with Appetizers 5:30 - 9:30 PM -- Reception with plated dinner, ramen bar, paletas (Mexican fruit popsicles) and ice cream dessert cart, and a surprise (hopefully... fingers crossed... monkeys are currently at work to make the magic happen) food truck for late night munchies. 🙈🙉🙊 And of course, bring your groove on for the dance floor!

No dress code, but I'm sure you all will look absolutely fabulous in cocktail dresses and suits in fun colors.

There will be an open bar (and mocktail bar), appetizers, dinner, and a ramen bar with hopefully a surprise food truck. Come hungry and come ready to celebrate!

Life On Record

At the wedding, there will be a cute little vintage phone somewhere at the reception that will be an audio guest book from Life on Record. The concept is, you pick up the phone, listen to the greeting, leave a message for the couple (life advice, happy wishes, drunk messages, everything is welcome), and hang up -- and later, we will be able to download and listen to these messages after the wedding as a meaningful keepsake. You do you! There's no dress code, we want you to show up wearing what you feel happiest in. Standard cocktail event / evening wear is great.

Answer

We are more than fortunate to have everything we need, and we have a small apartment right now so storing any additional gifts will be difficult before we're able to move into a larger place. Your attendance is more than enough of a blessing for our special day, but if you very much wish to gift us something on our wedding day, a monetary contribution towards our house fund would be appreciated. Every gift will go towards a downpayment for a home and furnishing it with all the nice thing's we'd like to have one day but have no space for right now.
