I’d have to call January my favourite month of the year because that was when I first heard about my Zaiah. My friend spoke highly of her and I couldn’t help being impressed. I mean, you would be too. Using beautiful, god-fearing, dedicated and hardworking as an adjective to describe a person is enough to raise your heart beat. The funny part is, I had never seen her before, yet I felt something deep for her. How strange is that? I would have beaten scientists to find a cure for cancer if that was all I needed to do to see her, but the coronavirus pandemic just had to be a barrier. I guess God had my back because I finally got to breathe the same air as my Zaiah on the 26th of September, 2020.I’m not really good at keeping dates, but I could never forget that one. It was a prayer meeting and I was an officiating minister. No introductions were made. I just looked and I knew it was her. I could have been confirmed dead then ‘cause my heart wasn’t beating and I’m sure my brain freezed too. From that day, there was a spark that still hasn’t been put off. Believe me when I say the connection was inexplicable. A journey of friendship, one where she had my back and I had hers, to a story of love, one where we do life and countdown till forever. Y’all didn’t know God loves most, ‘cause why would he bless me with his most delicate creation. I could do the impossible right now, with a superpower that I would call the ‘Zaiah Effect.’ It’s my season of blessings and the greatest of them all is having you, Zaiah as my wife.
