Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Chrissy Quigley and Peter Chow
Maui has tons of activities and excursions to choose from, we've been coming for years and still find new experiences to have. These are some of our favorites: • Snorkeling - We have an extensive guide written up, ask us to email it to you if you want to read about our favorite spots - Black Rock Beach in Ka'anapali is at the top of the list! • Hiking - There are many world-class hikes all over Maui, for all intensity levels. We love the Haleakala Crater for a "big" hike, and Hosmer Grove Loop for a truly unique "small" hike where you also get to meet the endangered, endemic Maui honeycreepers like the I'iwi • Shopping - Whaler's Village, Paia Town, and Makawao are three great spots to get your shop on • Surfing - World class surf, from beginner spots with chill vibe to charging waves and intense locals • Maui Ocean Center Aquarium at Maalaea Harbor • Mountain biking Kahakapao Forest • The Beach! Hit us up for much more!

Star Noodle

1287 Front Street, Lahaina, HI 96761

We love this place, it's super popular. They've reopened post-fire in a new location and it's swank and fun. Get the Bao! Eat the Garlic Noodle!

Old Lahaina Luau

1251 Front Street, Lahaina, HI 96761

There are many Luau options to choose from, most big resort hotels offer their own version. This is our favorite, it's also among the oldest and longest running. It is also a miracle they didn't lose their location to the fire as literally everything else around them burned. The Old Lahaina Luau is located waterside on Front street in Lahaina, directly next door to Aloha Mixed Plate and Star Noodle.

Monkeypod Kitchen by Merriman - Kaanapali, Maui

2435 Kaanapali Parkway, Lahaina, HI 96761

Located in Whaler's Village, this is a staple restaurant for us. Peter Merriman also runs this joint and the cocktails are good enough to prove it. This is a great spot to bring the kids.

Takumi

2580 Kekaa Drive, Lahaina, HI 96761

This is a special experience, and a new restaurant, but we can confidently recommend it to discerning sushi lovers! They do offer sushi to go, but if you're up for an amazing, curated Omakase experience, book one of the 11 seats for the nightly service and come prepared to have your senses dazzled.

Joey's Kitchen Napili

5095 Napilihau Street, Lahaina, HI 96761

This is a super good local's spot. Located in Napili Plaza, it's a great place to go if you're staying a bit further north from Ka'anapali. Good for lunch or dinner!

The Fish Market Maui

3600 Lower Honoapiilani Road, Lahaina, HI 96761

Best fish burritos, tacos and sandos on the west side, period.

Duke's Beach House Maui

130 Kai Malina Parkway, Lahaina, HI 96761

This place is always slammed, so really try to get a reservation or be ready to poach the walk-in only tables around the bar area (what we always do). The food is excellent, the service is always on point, the drinks are dynamite! The fish here is consistently among the best and freshest we get on West Side.

Sea House Restaurant

5900 Lower Honoapiilani Road, Lahaina, HI 96761

This is a Kapalua institution and they have great food at good prices with a lovely view of the ocean and sunset.

Kihei Caffe Lahaina

305 Keawe Street, Lahaina, HI 96761

This is a great spot for breakfast and brunch, and the kids will love the whale shaped pancakes! Located in the Lahaina Gateway Center, there is a good grocery store and some fun shopping options in the same center, and across the street in the Cannery Mall.

Cliff Dive Grill

2605 Kaanapali Parkway, Lahaina, HI 96761

We spend a lot of time here, maybe too much... but it's great for getting a quick lunch while you're at the beach. It's also our favorite spot to rendezvous for sunset after a hard day of snorkeling and sunbathing. They always have at least three TVs with the day's games playing. Cliff Dive is located inside the Sheraton Black Rock resort.

The Snorkel Store

2580 Kekaa Drive, Lahaina, HI 96761

This shop is located in Ka'anapali in the Fairway Shops. They're super but also not the best best deal you can get on snorkel gear - that's probably any one of the Snorkel Bob's locations throughout West Maui. However, this link takes you to the Snorkel Store's DAILY Snorkel Report, which drops at 8AM HST every day and can reliably approximate what kind of snorkel day you can look forward to - and more importantly, when conditions are bad and you should choose to play pickleball instead. Snorkel gear rental is a must if you want to find Peter on this trip!
