💕 Our Love Story: From Wilson to "Wife" (aka how Rhumba led to romance) They say love finds you when you least expect it—like, say, at Wilson Airport, while you're just minding your own business, headed to a funeral. Not exactly the setup for a rom-com... but somehow, that’s where our story begins. We (Peris & Ted) met for the first time while traveling to Kisumu, for a mutual friend’s mum’s funeral. The intro was casual—"Hi, this is Ted." "Hey, I'm Peris." But the vibe? Immediate. Electric. Unmissable. You know that kind of connection where conversations flow, laughs are easy, and it already feels like you've known each other for ages? Yeah… that. All weekend long, between ceremonies, memories, and moments of reflection, we kept gravitating toward each other like moths to a flame—or rather, like Kamba and Luo to good music. 😎 And then came the twist: Ted was flying back to Nairobi on Sunday evening, while Peris had booked her flight for Monday morning. But Ted, ever the smooth operator, gently (read: very charmingly) convinced her to change her flight. Because as he put it: "Why wait till Monday when we can vibe on Sunday?" And Peris—curious, intrigued, and slightly smitten—took the leap. We flew back together that evening... and the moment we landed in Nairobi, we didn’t go home. Nope. Straight to our first Rhumba date. And that night sealed it—two people, one rhythm, and a whole lot of good energy. Since then, it’s been: • Countless Rhumba and Reggae nights 🎶 • Long distance deep talks over the phone And now… almost 3 years later, we’re tying the knot.
