Victoria received a message from a guy named Paul trying to look for the answer on her profile, of why she fears for her life when she see oranges? According to Paul, Victoria rudely waited a whole month before answering that it was a reference to one of her favorite mobster movies the Godfather. Victoria and Paul then began to message back and forth in the coming weeks. About one message a day since Victoria was on night shift. They then planned a lunch date for 11.06.2021 at Royal Oak Brewery. Victoria arrived 15 minutes early but unfortunately used the entire time to try to find the least stressful place to parallel park. Paul messaged her that he had arrived and reserved a table as Victoria, parked steps away, attempted to navigate the Royal Oak parking app. Victoria walked into the brewery to be greeted by a Paul. They were seated and began to browse the menu for options. Victoria was intrigued by the Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich (as she always orders chicken sandwiches) and Paul informed her he just got back from his best friends wedding in Nashville and ate the best Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich there. Paul told stories of all of his friends that lived across the country and how he would travel all the time to visit them. Paul even admitted to rather nerdy hobbies like painting Warhammer minis and playing Dungeons and Dragons. Victoria was very impressed by both his nerdy and social tendencies and chose to admit a few of her own. She enjoyed comic books, cons, and had also played small campaigns of Dungeons and Dragons with her brother and seen him paint numerous Space Marines. Victoria was so pleasantly surprised by Paul and kept asking questions to extend lunch. Meanwhile, Paul was pleasantly surprised she wanted to keep talking asking if she needed to be anywhere else that day. They eventually left the brewery to stroll around downtown Royal Oak before going their separate ways. Fortunately it was not for long as they went on several more dates that month never looking back at a time before one another.

Groomsman
Eldy and Paul met freshman year in West Quad. Eldy, the unofficial roommate, would visit at all hours of the day and night. And whether in college or driving from D.C. (sometimes with only a days notice) Paul, and now Victoria, always looked forward to his anime and snack filled visits.

Explore Downtown Royal Oak! Downtown has loads of restaurants, bars, and shops to see. Struggle with parallel parking like Victoria did on her first date with Paul! Stop by the Royal Oak Brewery (our first date spot) and try the Nashville Hot Chicken.
Hey Alumni and Michigan Fans! Visit downtown Ann Arbor our wedding weekend in true Michigan v. Michigan State fashion! Stop by the Big House like we did and recoup from all the walking with a great big bowl of Ramen at the Slurping Turtle. If the drive is too far there will still be plenty of Michigan spirit our wedding weekend, who knows maybe you’ll still get to hear Mr. Brightside in the third quarter?
We are still working with our venue on a concrete timeline for the day. Ceremony will start at 4PM followed by cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing!
