I first saw him at Word Academy, a mandatory training for new members joining the church's workforce. I couldn't help but roll my eyes and mutter to myself, “Who’s this noisemaker?” He was so loud, talking to everyone as if he had known them for years. Fast forward to the end of the training. We were both part of a committee tasked with getting a gift for the church and organizing a hangout for the graduating members. I was in charge of the finances and sent over a detailed report on how the funds were spent. He said he was thrilled by how well the report was done. Ordinary excel o, baba don catch feelings 😂. Well, that was how our friendship started About a year later, this young man told me he wanted to marry me. Marry? As as how na? I knew him to be kind and loving, but I wasn’t emotionally ready for such a big commitment. But he didn’t give up. Eventually, I found myself saying, “Let’s give this a shot,” even though I wasn’t entirely sure what I was getting into. Looking back, I can confidently say – what a shot it was! Because now, I get to marry the man who makes me say, under my breath, multiple times a day, “I won in life!”
