It’s 2003 in Houston. Two kids cross paths their Junior year of high school. They meet in Speech and Debate class. After months of courting each other and weathering all the teenage angst, he gathers the courage to ask her out on AOL Instant Messenger during winter break. Their first kiss takes place in the Whataburger parking lot across the street. Fast forward 8 years past college and the Great Recession, he finally buys the diamond ring and proposes in Chicago at Millennium Park Ice Rink under the Bean. They elope because why not? 2 dogs laters, they hitch a u-haul trailer to the Land Rover and set out for a 5-year NYC adventure. After one too many bitter winters, they conceive child #1 in their Chelsea basement apartment. Brooklyn is fun for a year, reality sets in. They move back to Austin with child #2 on the way.
