Hotel
If you haven't been to a McMenamins, you just might need to. A curiosity of the PNW, this chain of venues specializes in taking existing unique spaces and adding their signature whimsy (and often, several bars.) The Edgefield has extensive grounds, is home to a large summer concert series on the lawn, and hosts both traditional hotel and hostel style accommodations. Also, check out the Kennedy School and White Eagle for other options.

Watch the BIG boats go by while hanging out on a sandy beach, at the intersection of the Willamette and Columbia Rivers.
Our favorite brunch place in Portland! Reservation only, but it's better that way.
1) Thou shalt not discuss politics. 2) Thou shalt not douse thyself in perfume or cologne. Please be mindful of scent sensitivity. 3) Thou shalt not wear cargo shorts. 4) Thou shalt not yell "kiss!" at the newlyweds and expect them to kiss. It's embarrassing. 5) Thou shalt not attend whilst ill. We love you, not your germs. Seriously, please don't talk about politics. We want this to be a joyful event to celebrate love and togetherness. Embrace diversity and find common ground.
Yes! This is a kid friendly event! We will have a kids' food buffet of macaroni and cheese, chicken tenders, and fruit salad. There are lots of games, but children may not be unattended, per policy. The venue does *not* have high chairs. If you have ideas for group childcare, please let us know. A secluded area will be available on the upper floor (bridal preparation suite- accessible by stairs only) for nursing and quiet time. Please be aware that we plan to turn the censors off our music selections at 9 PM.
We know you all are excited to meet our sweet rescue dog! (We get it, we're kind of obsessed with her.) Buffy really loves to be around her pawrents, and we think she would have a hard time if she could see us, but not be near us. Especially in a large group of people, since we think that would be a new experience for her. Since we love our dog-ter so much, we don't want her to be stressed! A lovely human will be taking care of Buffy in our home, so she can relax in a sunbeam and watch some squirrels.
The ceremony will be held outside in a wisteria-covered courtyard with a cement floor, it should be shady. The reception will be in the directly adjacent building, with access to the courtyard and other outdoor spaces. The building is air conditioned. The reception hall is on the main floor, as are the bathrooms. There is a unisex, wheelchair-accessible bathroom with a changing table. There are men's and women's bathrooms with 2 stalls. The game room and lounge area are downstairs. They are accessible via a staircase, or going around the side of the building. There is some parking on site, and street parking in the downtown Troutdale area up the street.
