Our story started when we were just 15 and 16, thanks to a few mutual friends and a lot of awkward teenage charm. We both thought the other was cute (still true!), but we had no idea we were meeting the person we’d grow up with. Our first kiss happened during a football game. What started as friendship turned into something more—slowly, naturally, and full of memories. Since then, we’ve been through so many firsts together: fishing trips, hunting adventures (Nick’s doing), and lots of new experiences that pushed us both out of our comfort zones. Somehow, it just worked. There was no exact moment when we realized we were in love—we just always knew. We bought our first home together and filled it with love, laughter, and three amazing (and slightly chaotic) dogs who are truly part of our little family. Life has always had a way of keeping us on our toes, but through all the twists, we’ve had each other—and that’s made all the difference. During a trip to the Detroit Zoo’s holiday light display (after some very strategic “Christmas shopping”), Nick got down on one knee and asked Chrissy to marry him. Spoiler alert: she said yes. We’ve grown up side by side, and now we can’t wait to step into this next chapter—surrounded by our favorite people (and probably a little dog hair). Thanks for being part of our story.
