About the Couple

How We Met

Jon and Mollie first met on May 12, 2022 after connecting on Facebook dating. Mollie downloaded the app just to see what the dating market looked like in Orlando, and had no real plans of actually pursuing any connections; but when Mollie and Jon matched, that changed. Jon’s love for travel was apparent, and they discussed that he’d recently adventured to Hawaii, Texas, and Vegas by himself. Mollie had been on her own adventure path, inspired by the unfortunate and sudden loss of her husband the year prior. Mollie had spent the year parasailing, petting sloths, and patroning theme parks with her kids in an effort to experience life to its fullest. Mollie and Jon shared common ground in approaching life with adventurous spirits, and found on their first date that they also share a friendly competitive spirit. Prior to their first date, both parties respectively threatened to “take the other down,” at the arcade. They initially met up at a little bar called Flanigan’s, then pivoted to Arcade Monster where Jon beat Mollie at air hockey, and Mollie (repeatedly) annihilated Jon at Pong. They sat on a bench outside of the arcade for several hours talking about shared ambitions, travel aspirations, life experiences, and shared values. On their first date they began a bucket list, which has grown and evolved throughout their relationship. Mollie knew that this match was different when she left her phone on the bench of Publix, and Jon sprung into action to retrieve her lost property with a smile on his face - a skill Mollie knew would be valuable in a partner due to her persistent ADHD tendencies. As soon as two days later, they had their next date at Universal Studios, which ended up being an all day affair. Fast forward two years to March of 2024 Jon and Mollie welcomed their treasured daughter, Lila, further cementing the family they had already been building together. Mollie and Jon look forward to a lifetime of choosing each other, and aspire to continue to seek new adventures together, always.

Wedding Party

Lexi Salloum

Co-Maid of Honor

Lexi & Mollie first met when Lexi moved to Pembroke Pines & enrolled at St. Mark in 5th grade. The two spent the early years of their friendship defrauding Neopets with a shared account that garnered millions of neopoints. Lexi & Mollie’s friendship survived the test of time with different high schools & colleges, & different life paths. She has been the calm in the storm for Mollie while navigating life’s tragedies & hardships. Among some of their silliest childhood memories, Mollie recalls that on 6/6/06, the pair coordinated a sleepover so that if the world did, in fact, end they would go out together. Instead, they survived & used their new lease on life to spend 6/7/2006 playing truth-or-dare games, which had them clucking like chickens at unsuspecting neighbors. Lexi has driven a giant peanut cross country & recreationally engages in paleontology. She goes to intense yoga classes on purpose, enjoys drinks with lavender, & spends her spare time in side chats with Jon coordinating to throw Mollie off the scent of any possible surprises or proposals. She and Jon had a great time behind the scenes pulling everything off!

Tobi Broadway

Co-Maid of Honor

Tobi and Mollie connected 2018 through an online discussion board about their mutual interests of makeup and cults. What started as casual discussion blossomed into a longstanding friendship which cemented Tobi’s invitation to Mollie’s first wedding. Tragically, Mollie’s groom ended up passing away before the wedding, but Tobi still came to town for the would-be-wedding weekend. Friends rallied in support to pull Mollie through, and with the distractions of a drag bar, a parasailing excursion, and a bad run-in with a jet ski they made foundational friendship memories in the midst of tragedy. Tobi is now one of Mollie’s nearest & dearest friends, & her kids affectionately refer to Tobi as “Aunt Toe.” Aunt Toe visits Florida several times a year & they have enjoyed some amazing experiences together. Some of the favorites include: - Finding out that Jon got Mollie two Eras Tour tickets for Christmas. When the weekend rolled around, they spent it alternating between being Irelynn’s cheer hypemen for a major competition, & ugly crying while screaming the lyrics to All Too Well TVTMVftv (iykyk). - Seeing Sabrina Carpenter live - Universal & Islands of Adventure theme park shenanigans - Finding the bottom of Mia’s Italian Kitchen’s bottomless brunch & Chef Mickey’s buffet - Planning whole trips around the release of Taylor Swift’s Showgirl album - Most looking forward to graduating college together in May of 2026 Tobi’s favorite character is Belle, because singing dishes!

Bonnie McCarty

Bridesmaid

Bonnie McCarty is Mollie’s immediate younger sister, married to Ryan McCarty in June of 2025. Mollie and Bonnie spent years together engaged in church and show choir, some of Mollie’s most treasured childhood memories. Now, Bonnie teaches middle school literature at a Catholic school in Ft. Meyers, and both Bonnie and her husband Ryan, are godparents to baby Lila. If Bonnie could spend the day with any Disney Princess it would be Tiana. Bonnie loves that Tiana is a hardworking girl with a dream, and the soundtrack to the Princess and the Frog movie is a solid 100/10! Her favorite Disney character is Sully because he has a hard exterior, but is really just a big teddy bear. The song most likely to get her on the dance floor is Time of my Life by Pitbull - Dalé! Bonnie’s favorite ride at the Disney World parks is Guardians of the Galaxy in EPCOT. She says the best meal on property is also in EPCOT at Les Halles Boulangarie in France. Try the quiche lorraine and the peach frosé!

Emily Denton

Bridesmaid

Mollie is one of eight kids, seven of whom are girls. Mollie is the second oldest in the lineup, and Emily is her second younger sister. While Emily may be younger, Mollie looks up to her sister for her humility, fervent faith, and absence of judgement. Emily has modeled Christ in Mollie’s life by being prayerfully available while Mollie navigated some of the toughest chapters in her life. Emily is godmother to little Irelynn (flower girl) and has been a steady beacon of light in modeling what walking with Christ truly looks like. Emily is married to Jack Denton and works as a middle school religion teacher in North Carolina. Emily is a dedicated sour dough crafter, and is insanely mastered in embroidery; even having hand embroidered baby Lila’s first real Halloween costume in 2025. Emily’s humor is unmatched and the two can count on each other to laugh at the jokes that no one else would think is funny. It’s an honor to Mollie to have this sweet sister by her side on her big day. If Emily could spend the day with any Disney Princess it would be ___ because ___ Her favorite Disney character is _____ because ____. The song most likely to get her on the dance floor is ____

Sarah Stooks

Bridesmaid

Sarah is Mollie’s third younger sister, married to Josef Stooks in July of 2024. Sarah is known as the family historian, diligently documenting all family comedy and lore. Growing up, she was best known amongst family for her love of all things pink and fancy, and for her impeccable comedic timing. Sarah is now a marketing expert who lives in Alabama. She and her husband enjoy traveling, most recently to Rome and to Paris. If Sarah could spend the day with any Disney Princess it would be Rapunzel because she’d love to see all of her hobbies, and spend an evening checking out the lanterns. The song most likely to get her on the dance floor is Pink Pony Club by Chappell Roan.

Ava Lynch

Bridesmaid

Ava is Mollie’s second youngest sister. The two share a love for cats, Taylor Swift, and the Universal theme parks that have made for great bonding over the years. Ava is a college freshman at FGCU and is best known for her many talents - she can play many instruments, solve a Rubik’s cube in no time, and keeps everyone laughing. She may interpret “semi-formal attire,” as a call to attend an event dressed as Alexander Hamilton, and her unpredictable updates from home are always a source of laughter. Mollie looks forward to having Ava by her side, as the day really wouldn’t feel complete without some unscripted family shenanigans. Ava’s ideal day with Disney characters would be dinner with Mushu for the vibes, and Remy and Tiana for the food. The song most likely to get her on the dance floor would be Your Love is My Drug by Ke$ha

Allie Lynch

Bridesmaid

Allie is the family baby, youngest of eight. When Mollie was living home as a young adult, Allie was always ready and willing to tag along on adventures with Mollie, Brighton and Irelynn and those memories of adventuring to the Cheesecake Factory or the Miami Metro Zoo are memories Mollie holds dear. If Allie could spend the day with any Disney character it would be Mrs. Dabney because some say Allie has the “Dabney flow.” The song most likely to get her on the dance floor is Yeah by Usher.

Elyse Kenworthy

Bridesmaid

Elyse is one of Mollie’s many cousins who she was fortunate to spend summers growing up with, running wild in Pennsylvania. We grew up together on Taylor Swift, Uncle Nick’s diner, Aunt Patti’s pool, and an abundance of laughter. Elyse is a registered nurse who still lives in Pennsylvania today. Mollie most appreciates the fellowship and laughter that comes from their relationship. The two can share the messier parts of themselves openly, offer support and unconditional love, and wrap the conversation up with some much needed humor. Their regular check-ins are such a source of joy, and having Elyse by Mollie’s side on her big day is sure to be a source of joy as well. If Elyse could spend the day with any Disney Princess it would be ___ because ___ Her favorite Disney character is ___ because ____ The song most likely to get her on the dance floor is ____

Brighton Lynch

Junior Bridesmaid

Brighton is Mollie’s oldest child, who will be twelve at the time of the wedding. Brighton and Mollie essentially grew up together, being that Mollie had her when she was twenty. Brighton has an old soul and enjoys reading a good book, sewing, sketching, and keeping a close circle of quality friends. She enjoys anime, coding, and learning animation; and is an outstanding big sister to Irelynn and Lila. Mollie cannot imagine a fairytale day without Brighton by her side, and looks forward to entering another new chapter with her big girl by her side. If Brighton could spend the day with any Disney Princess it would be Merida to do archery together. He favorite Disney character is Baby Groot because he’s cute and chaotic.

Cami Amill

Junior Bridemaid

Cami is Jon’s eldest daughter, who will be fourteen at the time of the wedding. Getting to know Cami has been such a sweet blessing to Mollie and her girls. Cami has a love for the theater and has played supporting roles in Finding Nemo and Wicked theater productions, just to name a couple. Cami is a little ray of sunshine, and Mollie is delighted to officially blend families and make some more magical memories with Cami by her side. One of Mollie’s favorite memories of Cami is when Jon and Mollie took Cami for an Epic Universe park day and shared the news about their engagement over dinner at the Toadstool Cafe. Cami’s excitement radiated, and only grew when she found out that it would be a Disney wedding and she was invited to be in the bridal party. Mollie is so looking forward to making lifelong memories with Cami over the wedding weekend. If Cami could spend the day with any Disney Princess it would be Tiana, so she could help her improve her baking skills and learn how to make Tiana’s famous beignets! Her favorite Disney character is Olaf because he is cute and completely innocent - and LOVES warm hugs! The song most likely to get her on the dance floor is Rasputin by Boney M. And finally, Cami’s favorite rides at Disney are Guardians of the Galaxy at EPCOT or Tower of Terror at Hollywood Studios. Cami would fight the long lines just to ride either of these faves!

Irelynn Lynch

Flower Girl

Irelynn is Mollie’s second oldest child, who will be ten at the time of the wedding. Irelynn is best described as a human pixie stick and the life of any party. She is peak extroversion and can be expected to lead at least three conga lines at this affair (trying to beat her record of starting two conga lines at her last wedding). Irelynn is an expert flower girl, having “offered her services” in four other weddings prior to this one; and Mollie is elated to have this level of enthusiasm on her bridal party. Irelynn is a dedicated athlete, in her sixth season of All Star Cheer with Top Gun. She loves puzzles, tumbling, and spending time with her many friends. She is a sweet big sister to baby Lila, and Mollie cannot imagine a fairytale wedding without Irelynn at the head of the “cheer committee” for the big day. Her favorite Disney character is Aladdin because he’s her favorite character to meet at 1900 Park Fare. If Irelynn could spend the day with any Disney Princess it would be Jasmine, because she’s coming for her man 👀 The song most likely to get her on the dance floor is Thumbs by Sabrina Carpenter. Irelynn’s favorite food on Disney property is a Mickey bar. Her favorite Disney attraction is The Festival of the Lion King at Animal Kingdom - she was so impressed by the theatrics, acrobatics, and musicality!

Lila Amill

Flower Girl

If Lila could spend the day with any Disney Princess it would be Ariel because Lila loves to “go splishy-splashy,” and play mermaids. Her favorite Disney character is Simba because she has loved The Lion King since she was less than a year old. The song most likely to get her on the dance floor is Un Poco Loco from the Coco soundtrack. Her favorite Disney attractions are The Festival of the Lion King or Kilimanjaro Safari at Animal Kingdom, or the Winnie the Pooh ride at Magic Kingdom. At EPCOT she loves to ride Spaceship Earth, and when we see Michelangelo’s animatronic painting the Sistine Chapel she likes to tell him “No, no, no, Michaelangelo - don’t paint on the ceiling or your mommy will be so sad!”

Chris Vazquez

Best Man

Chris and Jon have been near-lifelong friends. They met in __fifth__ grade and have remained close through all the different stages of life they have faced together since. Jon and Mollie have enjoyed Epic Universe outings with Chris and his wife, Vanessa. Jon’s favorite memory of Chris is ____. Mollie’s favorite memory of Chris is when he came to their home to meet baby Lila right after she was born. Chris’ favorite Disney character is ____ because _____. His favorite ride at the Disney World parks is ___ in ____. If he could recommend one snack to you to try on Disney property, it would be __ located at ___.

Shawn Hanlon

Groomsman

Jon met Shawn at the Ocala Amazon site where they both work in XL product operations. Shawn and his wife, Jen, have become dear friends to Mollie and Jon over the years, often spending time together on double dates to Disney or Epic Universe. Shawn’s favorite Disney character is _____ because _____. His favorite ride is ___ at ____. If he could recommend one park ride to you on Disney property, it would be ____.

Things To Do

While you're visiting with us there's always the option to check out the awesome theme parks Orlando has to offer, or if you're looking for some non-ticketed ways to explore Orlando like a local, we've put together a list of options for you to enjoy below.

Recreation at Fort Wilderness

Recreation at Fort Wilderness

4510 Fort Wilderness Trail, Orlando, FL 32836

Ft. Wilderness offers non-ticketed experiences including pony rides, archery lessons, canoeing, and more. These experiences are best booked in advanced.

Whispering Canyon Cafe

Whispering Canyon Cafe

Dinner with a twist! Your servers will keep you laughing during this non-ticketed dinner experience.

Epcot International Festival of the Arts

Epcot International Festival of the Arts

Bay Lake, FL

This ticketed experience is well worth it! See artistry in action at EPCOT’s festival of the arts.

Ohana

1600 Seven Seas Drive, Lake Buena Vista, FL 32830

This is our favorite restaurant on property! Parking is free at the Polynesian resort with proof of reservation at security check-in. This experience does book out in advanced, so plan accordingly. Stitch is present at breakfast, while dinner offers alternative live entertainment. Time it right and you get a fantastic indoor view of Magic Kingdom’s firework show.

Disney Springs

Disney Springs

1486 Buena Vista Drive, Lake Buena Vista, FL 32830

There’s a ton to do and see at Disney Springs. This non-ticketed outdoor mall offers a wide range of experiences. Splitsville bowling alley, AMC dine-in theater, Swirls on the Water (dole whip!), Boathouse (ask them how you can ride one of their car boats), Chef Art’s Homecoming Kitchen, shopping, build-your-own-ears, and more! Mollie’s personal favorite is the Silhouette Artist stand inside the Crystal Arts store. Disney Springs is a great option that can be accessed via Disney’s complimentary shuttle bus system, and would be ideal for the time window between the reception and the dessert firework party.

Resort Hop Via Bus, Skyliner, or Monorail

Resort Hop Via Bus, Skyliner, or Monorail

Between the reception and the dessert party would be a fantastic time to resort hop. Resort hopping involves using free public Disney transportation (skyliner, monorail, bus transit) to go between resorts and sight-see or window-shop. Each resort has a different theme. Jon's recommendation is to ride the monorail to the Polynesian Resort and enjoy a dole whip. Mollie's recommendation is to take the bus to Animal Kingdom to peak at the safari animals and spend some time with the zookeeper learning about them. If you have young kids or want aesthetic Disney photos without the crowds and ticket-prices, a bus ride to Art of Animation's oversized and heavily themed playscape would be a great choice. Art of Animation is on the Skyliner track to the Caribbean Resort. From there, you may transfer to the EPCOT skyliner path, monorail, or another bus.

Mia's Italian Kitchen

Mia's Italian Kitchen

8717 International Drive, Orlando, FL 32819

This location has a bottomless brunch before 3pm on Saturdays and Sundays. I highly recommend making a reservation. It is a deal that sounds too good to be true, and actually is!

Old Town

Old Town

5770 West Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway, Kissimmee, FL 34746

Old Town is an outdoor walking mall that has arcades, haunted houses, and a variety of stores to window-shop in. Some evenings they have classic car shows, and the outdoor mall is adjacent to Fun Spot, a smaller local theme park where you can buy tickets by the ride if desired.

Dezerland Park Orlando

Dezerland Park Orlando

5250 International Drive, Orlando, FL 32819

Dezerland is a great spot to go if you're not sure what you want to do! They have a wide variety of options including a movie theater, bumper cars, axe throwing, a cereal bar, restaurants, an arcade, laser tag, bowling, an antique car museum, and more!

Universal CityWalk Orlando

Universal CityWalk Orlando

6000 Universal Boulevard, Orlando, FL 32819

City Walk is non-ticketed, & you can check the Universal app for daily updates on what time free parking begins. On City Walk you will have a variety of restaurants to choose from. Mollie’s personal favorite is Toothsome, where she typically orders the chicken risotto and a milkshake. City Walk also has a variety of bars for those 21+ to check out. Mollie’s favorite is Rising Star, a karaoke bar where you can perform with a live band on stage. Jon most enjoys the Red Coconut Club. The Super Nintendo World Store that recently opened in conjunction with Epic Universe is Jon’s favorite thing to see on City Walk. If you're interested in Epic Universe, you may also consider popping into the Epic Tribute Store on City Walk where you can see some of the in-park-merchandise available for purchase, or look at the large working model of Epic Universe that is displayed. During daytime hours, City Walk also has splash pads for the kiddos to enjoy. Coldstone, Starbucks, and more!

Lake Eola Park

Orlando, FL 32801

Lake Eola Park District has a variety of shops and restaurants to enjoy. The farmers market on the weekends has a great variety of vendors, including a nice assortment of Disney vendors. The swan boat rentals on the lake are a great option for enjoying your weekend in Orlando.

SAK Comedy Lab

SAK Comedy Lab

55 West Church Street, Orlando, FL 32801

This improv spot is a fun local dive where stars like Wayne Brady, from Whose Line Is It Anyway, have gotten their start. Jon and I have had a couple of great date nights here full of laughter and the cast does a great job of including the audience and keeping the performance engaging.

The New Romantics

The New Romantics

3018 Corrine Drive, Orlando, FL 32803

This Taylor Swift inspired book store is Orlando’s only romance-only book store. If you’re visiting the area and are a Swiftie, Mollie highly recommends dropping in.
