In the month of December 2023, my life changed when I walked into UMASS Boston. I was there to support a campus ministry event, but there, I found the love of my life. I had known Olivia in passing, but this day was different. That day, I discovered that I wanted to know more about her. As I started to get to know her over time, it was clear to me that God sent her to me on time. One day, we went for lunch and what was supposed to be a casual time, ended up in us parting ways. Disappointment and uncertainty were amongst the thoughts in my mind. Did I hear from God? Am I sure about her? Although it felt like this date was going to be the last, we quickly learned that the conflict that we go through can be beneficial based on how we react or respond. We communicated, we prayed, we laughed, and we let God do the rest. The rest of the story and journey is in His hands and I look forward to seeing every page that He writes about us.

The end of 2023 was the beginning of one of the best things that has happened in my life. I was asked by my sister to accompany her at a worship night at UMASS Boston. I had found out Sam would also be there, whom I had known of through the years, but never closely. I arrived, greeted him, played the songs for my sister and had to leave shortly after the event dismissed because I had another commitment that night. Not shortly after, we found ourselves talking almost every day and we haven't missed a day since. As I got to know Sam, it became more and more apparent that he was the man of God I'd been praying for. He displayed unwavering patience, selflessness and genuine care to me in a way I never could have imagined. This journey has not come without its ups and downs. And throughout the journey, I've come to know that Sam is grounded on the Rock so that he can be a rock for others. I'm so excited that I get to grow with, dream with and build with my best friend.
