Rock & Roll Hall of Fame

Rock & Roll Hall of Fame

1100 East 9th Street, Cleveland, OH 44114

In 1951, WJW disc jockey Alan Freed began playing a new genre of uptempo black rhythm and blues that appealed to audiences on both sides of the racial divide. He called it "rock and roll," which popularized the phrase and cemented Cleveland as the birthplace of rock n' roll. Designed by architect I.M. Pei, the Rock Hall is home to many iconic costumes and memorabilia and is a must see for any fan of rock n' roll. Admission is free for residents of Cleveland.

Barrio Tacos Tremont

Barrio Tacos Tremont

806 Literary Road, Cleveland, OH 44113

A Cleveland staple for cheap tacos and strong margaritas, also where Devin & Olevia had their first date. Olevia recommends the crunchy chipotle chicken taco.

West Side Market

West Side Market

1979 West 25th Street, Cleveland, OH 44113

The West Side Market is the oldest operating indoor/outdoor market space in Cleveland and is considered a landmark of the city. Opening in 1840, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1973. The market's tenants and sellers reflect the cultural diversity of the surrounding neighborhood and Cleveland as a whole. The current roster of tenants includes those of Irish, German, Slovene, Italian, Hungarian, Greek, Polish, Russian, and Middle Eastern descent, among others. Make sure to check out Pierogi Palace and Vera's Bakery!
