In the year 2012, a love story began between two high school friends. These two friends realized after several months of getting to know each other, had something special. In the early years they had to learn what love was and what better way to do it but together. In a blink of an eye, a square purple graduation cap sat on their heads and their teenage love was ready to continue into their adulthood. They struggled and grew and did something that most people are not as fortunate to do, they reached important life milestones hand in hand. The seasoned couple after years of growth, already knew deep in their hearts that no one else in this world, will be able to give the same unconditional love and compassion. On December 29th 2023 at a winery called Rodeño in New Mexico, Ireneo Tadeo Ongcal III, got on one knee and asked his high school sweetheart, partner in crime, his best friend Katherine May Maravilla's hand in marriage. Then the long anticipated words, “Katherine May Maravilla will you please do me this honor and be my wife?" came out of Ireneo’s mouth with the confidence of a man who knew what his future looked like and he was holding it in his hands. We are both so honored and excited for this next part of the journey. We ask if you will be part of our special day as we, Katherine May Maravilla and Ireneo Tadeo Ongcal III, will take each other’s hands in marriage and happily become “The Ongcals”!
