FAQs

Please read this page thoroughly as it hosts all the information you should need regarding the wedding.
Question

When should I RSVP By?

Answer

To help us with our planning, please RSVP to the events as soon as possible. The deadline for all RSVPs is July 10th. This helps us give our vendors accurate numbers. If we haven't heard from you by then, we'll unfortunately have to assume you're unable to make it. We totally understand that things can change, so if your plans shift after you RSVP, please let us know right away!

Question

Can I Bring a Plus One?

Answer

Due to limited space, we are only able to accommodate those guests who are formally invited. If you received a plus-one, they will appear on the invite when you RSVP. We ask that only the named people in the invitation are in attendance. We appreciate your understanding.

Question

Can I Bring My Children?

Answer

With respect, we have chosen for our wedding to be an adult-only occasion. We hope this advance notice means you are still able to share our big day.

Question

Where Should I Stay?

Answer

While we haven't partnered with a specific hotel, we encourage our guests to explore the vibrant Gothic Quarter in Barcelona for their stay. This historic neighborhood offers a charming blend of medieval architecture, lively plazas, and a wide range of accommodation options to suit every budget and preference. From boutique hotels to cozy guesthouses and stylish apartments, you're sure to find the perfect place to rest your head after celebrating with us.

Question

Do I need to rent a car?

Answer

For the wedding events themselves, you absolutely won't need a car! Barcelona is incredibly easy to navigate, especially if you're staying in the Gothic Quarter (which we highly recommend!). Everything is very walkable, and if you need to go a bit further, the metro system is fantastic and super easy to use. Taxis and ride-sharing services are also readily available. If you're planning to explore areas outside the city center, then renting a car might be a good idea. However, for getting around within Barcelona itself, you'll be just fine without one.

Question

Will There be Transportation To and From the Venue?

Answer

Yes! We'll be providing transportation to and from the venue on the wedding day for all our guests. We want to make it as easy as possible for everyone to get there and back safely. We'll share more specific details about pick-up locations and times as we get closer to the date, so keep an eye out for updates! If for any reason you miss the provided transportation, you'll be responsible for arranging your own transportation (taxi, ride-sharing service, etc).

Question

What Time Does the Wedding Start and End?

Answer

The ceremony will begin promptly at 4:30 PM. We will aim to have guests arrive between 4:00 and 4:15 PM to allow time to find your seat and get settled. The festivities will wrap up around 11:00 PM. We'll provide more information about departure times for the transportation closer to the wedding day.

Question

Can I take pictures or Video during the Ceremony?

Answer

We are having an "unplugged" ceremony, which means we ask that you refrain from using phones or cameras during the ceremony itself. We have hired a fantastic professional photographer to capture all the special moments, so you can relax and be fully present. After the ceremony, feel free to snap away and share your photos and videos!

Question

What is The Dress Code?

Answer

We would love for everyone to dress up and celebrate with us in style! The dress code is Black Tie/Formal: Think black tuxedos or suits with ties for the gentlemen, and mid- to floor-length dresses or pant suits for the ladies.

Question

Will the wedding be outside?

Answer

Yes, both the ceremony and reception will be held outdoors. The temperatures in October are usually in the mid-60s (°F) during the day, but it can cool down in the evening, so you might want to bring a light jacket or wrap. In the event of rain, we do have a backup indoor plan in place.

Question

I have Dietary Restriction, What Should I do?

Answer

Please let us know on your RSVP form and we will make sure we can accomodate you. We want to make sure everyone enjoys the meal, and we'll work closely with our caterer to accommodate your needs.

Question

Passport

Answer

Due to laws and regulations of the European Union, please ensure you check your passport expiration date. To travel to the EU, your passport must be valid for atleast three months before your planned travel date and no more than 10 years old. If your passport requires renewal, please plan ahead. Currently passport processing times, for the US, are about 4-6 weeks.

Question

European Travel Information and Authorization System (ETIAs)

Answer

Starting soon, travelers may need an ETIAS (European Travel Information and Authorization System) to enter Spain. This is currently required if you are traveling to the UK. While an exact date for when ETIAS will be required for direct travel to Spain hasn't been announced, it's expected to happen this year. ETIAS is easy to obtain and should cost around 7-8 Euros. Please keep an eye out for updates on this requirement as your travel plans approach.

Question

What are travel essentials I should bring?

Answer

To make your trip to Barcelona as smooth as possible, we suggest packing a few key items: European plug adapter: You'll need this to charge your electronics. A quick search for "Spain travel plug" on Amazon (or any online retailer) will give you plenty of options. Small day bag: This is perfect for carrying your essentials (phone, wallet, sunscreen, etc.) while you're out and about exploring. Comfortable walking shoes: You'll be doing a lot of walking, so comfortable shoes are a must! Trust us, your feet will thank you.

Question

Sightseeing

Answer

Barcelona is bursting with incredible things to see and do! From stunning architecture to delicious food and vibrant culture, you'll have plenty to keep you entertained. We highly recommend booking any tours or activities in advance, as popular spots tend to fill up quickly. Also, keep in mind that many places are closed on Mondays, so it's a good idea to plan around that. We won't be organizing any specific activities outside of the listed wedding events, so you'll have the freedom to create your own Barcelona adventure!
