FAQs

Please read this page thoroughly as it hosts all the information you should need regarding the wedding.
Question

What do I need to know about the Welcome Party?

Answer

You’ll find the main details (date, time, location, and dress code) on our Events page, but here’s a little more to help you plan: The Welcome Party will be a casual, early-evening gathering to kick off the festivities with light bites and drinks (water, soda, beer, and wine). We encourage guests to arrive at the start to make the most of the evening and time together. Getting there: RedFish is within walking distance for many guests — just allow a bit of extra time if you plan to walk. Taxis are also a convenient option.

Question

Will There be Transportation To and From the Venue?

Answer

Yes! We’ll be providing transportation to and from the venue on the wedding day for all of our guests. We want to make it as easy (and safe!) as possible for everyone to get there and back. 🚌 Pick-Up & Drop-Off Location: Calle Pelai 36, in front of Natura ⏰ Departure to Venue: Please arrive between 2:45–3:00 PM — buses will leave promptly at 3:00 PM. If you happen to miss the provided transportation, you’ll need to arrange your own ride to the venue (taxi or rideshare). ⏰ Return to Barcelona: Buses will depart the venue between 10:15–10:30 PM and drop off at the same location. Please note there will be only one return bus, so all guests will head back together.

Question

What Time Does the Wedding Start and End?

Answer

The ceremony will begin promptly at 4:30 PM. Guests will arrive by 4:00 PM to allow time to find a seat and get settled before the celebration begins. (Please refer to the Transportation section for details.) The festivities will wrap up around 10:15 PM, with buses departing the venue shortly after and arriving back in Barcelona at approximately 11:30 PM

Question

Can I take pictures or Video during the Ceremony?

Answer

We are having an "unplugged" ceremony, which means we ask that you refrain from using phones or cameras during the ceremony itself. We have hired a fantastic professional photographer to capture all the special moments, so you can relax and be fully present. After the ceremony, feel free to snap away and share your photos and videos!

Question

Will the wedding be outside?

Answer

Yes, both the ceremony and reception will be held outdoors. The temperatures in October are usually in the mid 70s (°F) during the day, but it can cool down in the evening, so you might want to bring a light jacket or wrap. In the event of rain, we do have a backup indoor plan in place.

Question

What is The Dress Code?

Answer

We would love for everyone to dress up and celebrate with us in style! The dress code is Black Tie/Formal: Think black tuxedos or black suits with ties for the gentlemen, and mid- to floor-length dresses or pant suits for the ladies.

Question

Do I need to rent a car?

Answer

For the wedding events themselves, you absolutely won't need a car! Barcelona is incredibly easy to navigate, especially if you're staying in the Gothic Quarter (which we highly recommend!). Everything is very walkable, and if you need to go a bit further, the metro system is fantastic and super easy to use. Taxis and ride-sharing services are also readily available. If you're planning to explore areas outside the city center, then renting a car might be a good idea. However, for getting around within Barcelona itself, you'll be just fine without one.

Question

Where Should I Stay?

Answer

While we haven't partnered with a specific hotel, we encourage our guests to explore the vibrant Gothic Quarter in Barcelona for their stay. This historic neighborhood offers a charming blend of medieval architecture, lively plazas, and a wide range of accommodation options to suit every budget and preference. From boutique hotels to cozy guesthouses and stylish apartments, you're sure to find the perfect place to rest your head after celebrating with us.

Question

Passport

Answer

Due to laws and regulations of the European Union, please ensure you check your passport expiration date. To travel to the EU, your passport must be valid for atleast three months before your planned travel date and no more than 10 years old. If your passport requires renewal, please plan ahead. Currently passport processing times, for the US, are about 4-6 weeks.

Question

Will I have cell service in Spain?

Answer

Yes, most major U.S. carriers work in Spain, but coverage and costs vary. Please check with your provider in advance regarding international plans and roaming fees so you’re not surprised by extra charges. As an alternative, we recommend downloading WhatsApp before you travel. It’s free to use for messaging and calls whenever you’re connected to Wi-Fi, making it a great option if you prefer not to add an international plan.

Question

What are travel essentials I should bring?

Answer

To make your trip to Barcelona as smooth as possible, we suggest packing a few key items: European plug adapter: You'll need this to charge your electronics. A quick search for "Spain travel plug" on Amazon (or any online retailer) will give you plenty of options. Small day bag: This is perfect for carrying your essentials (phone, wallet, sunscreen, etc.) while you're out and about exploring. Comfortable walking shoes: You'll be doing a lot of walking, so comfortable shoes are a must! Trust us, your feet will thank you.

Question

Sightseeing

Answer

Barcelona is bursting with incredible things to see and do! From stunning architecture to delicious food and vibrant culture, you'll have plenty to keep you entertained. We highly recommend booking any tours or activities in advance, as popular spots tend to fill up quickly. Also, keep in mind that many places are closed on Mondays, so it's a good idea to plan around that. We won't be organizing any specific activities outside of the listed wedding events, so you'll have the freedom to create your own Barcelona adventure!
