Nora & Miranda met on Bumble…BFF. They were both looking to make some new friends after graduating college, and they were apparently so successful in this mission that they quickly shot right past the friendzone to falling in love. Their very first in-person meeting was over lunch at Madison Sourdough. Miranda got there promptly fifteen minutes early and was sitting poised on the bench, calm on the surface in the way only therapists can be, but deeply stressed about meeting this internet stranger underneath, also in the way only therapists can be. Nora, on the other hand, spent too much time in an anxious frenzy of getting ready that she ran inside ten minutes late in a yellow polka dot raincoat—drenched. And then they proceeded to have the most engaging conversation either of them had ever had with someone they just met. So engaging, in fact, that by the end, they needed to talk about if they were actually on a date. (They absolutely were, even though at the time they decided to wait and see where things went). From there, Nora & Miranda went on to have a definitely normal amount of not-technically-dates throughout that July before making it official. They saw Barbie and tried very hard not to touch hands while eating popcorn. They binge-watched an anticipated season of a show together, and after seven hours of still not holding hands, Nora finally summoned up the courage to make the first move. After that, the number of dates per week increased… a lot. (We checked the receipts. In Miranda’s 2023 planner, the two of them were together 75% of the time after they started dating.) Nora ended up moving into Miranda’s studio apartment when she got a new job on the East Side of Madison. While they did make it work, there was absolutely no way Nora could have fit all of her clothes into that studio. (Miranda can attest to this. She's always very excited to share stories about the ever-growing pile of Nora's belongings that was in the corner by the TV). A few months later, they got their first apartment, which was a whole three doors down the hallway. On June 14th, 2025, they got engaged! The two of them went on a romantic getaway to San Diego and decided that they could propose at any point during the trip. Miranda proposed first in the rose garden at Balboa Park, and Nora proposed later that day at a fancy restaurant in Little Italy.

Please let us know by August 1, 2026, so we can have an accurate headcount!
Due to limited space at the reception venue, we can only accommodate a certain number of guests. Please refer to your invitation for invited family members and plus ones.
Both the ceremony and reception will be indoors in the Canvas Room at Garver Feed Mill (to the left once inside the front entrance). We will also have an indoor cocktail hour in the Public Lounge.
Garver Feed Mill has a large parking lot right out front!
We request that guests turn off and silence phones during the ceremony. During the reception, however, we encourage taking pictures. Our photographer will not be with us the entire evening, so we appreciate any pictures guests can take on the dance floor!
Whatever brings you joy and feels authentically you—we want our guests to have fun with their attire! (If you thrive off of more specific guidance, anything semi-formal will do.)
Either Nora or Miranda!
