FAQs

Question

Where is the closest hotel?

Answer

The Queen Mary is also a hotel. We do not have a block of rooms, but you can book directly on the Queen Mary website. Use super secret promo code "SOCIAL24" for a discount (Note: may require a two-night stay to use promo code).

Question

Is there parking?

Answer

Yes, there is a large parking lot in front of the Queen Mary. Take a ticket when you enter the lot and you can validate your ticket at the reception. Parking fees are on us. If you forget to validate, parking is $10.

Question

The Queen Mary is a BIG SHIP. How on earth will I find the wedding?

Answer

Good question! From the parking lot, make your way to the marquee and tell the nice people at the podium you are here for a wedding. Take the elevator up to level 4, turn right, and walk until you hit the fresh air outside and walk down the stairs to Capstan Deck. The reception will also be held on level 4 in the Royal Salon. Don't worry, there will be directional signs and ushers.

Question

Is there an ADA accessible route to the ceremony & reception?

Answer

Yes! Take the elevators to level 3 and continue towards the stern of the ship to the Capstan Deck (A deck). The reception will be held on level 4 in the Royal Salon.

Question

Is the Queen Mary haunted?

Answer

Absolutely. There will be two types of spirits (alcohol & ghosts).

Question

Should I dress warm?

Answer

The ceremony is outside, so bring a jacket. Even though we're in California, it gets really windy on the back of the ship. The reception will be inside, so you should be nice and toasty the rest of the night.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The Queen Mary is a BIG SHIP. We suggest arriving at 5:30pm because it will take a few minutes to navigate to the ceremony space. Late comers will be forced to perform an interpretive dance and then walk the plank (Just kidding).

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

No. While we love your kids, the Queen Mary is a very dangerous place for little ones (tall ship, deep water, powerful spirits).

Question

Do we have a gift registry?

Answer

Gifts are not expected! If you so choose, we set up some possible ideas that we thought we'd enjoy doing as newlyweds. If you keep scrolling, you will see the registry.
