Picture this: two young people meet in their first year of university. They navigate a brand-new social and academic world, chatting and slowly getting to know one another (allegedly re-meeting several times along the way). It isn’t until their second year, however, that a rather off-the-cuff phone call inviting one another to formal sparks the beginning of their relationship. Their friendship — and then their partnership — grows as two techies yap, dance, and make their way through the rest of their college years together. Post-grad brings both adventure and challenge. Annie moves to DC, and Noah heads west to Seattle, kicking off a year-long long-distance chapter. Fast forward to the middle of the pandemic. Annie makes the move to Seattle to join Noah, who is living with eight ~dudes~ at 712 17th Ave NW — a big house in a fancy neighborhood whose residents probably didn’t sign up for nine young people (and one dog) living in very close quarters on their street. Over the next few years, they bop around Seattle, investing in their friendships and building a home together. With an ever-growing community and a pup who’s far too smart for her own good, they look forward to many more years of adventuring, reading, relaxing, exploring, and eating their way through life. In April 2025, they return to one of their favorite shared destinations — the Olympic Peninsula — where a not-so-subtle charcuterie picnic on the beach leads to a silly, wonderful proposal and the start of their engagement 🙂 Now, they can’t wait to return to the peninsula with all of you this coming fall to officially seal the deal and tie the knot.
