Like many couples today, our story began online, with a few clicks and mutual connections. Nissan made the first move, finding my profile and sending a warm “Hey Christina. Nice to meet you, and Happy New Year!” Soon after, we planned our first date for a Monday. But as luck would have it, the restaurant we picked was closed on Mondays! Nissan quickly texted me with other ideas, and just as I was starting to feel the Monday blues and considering a reschedule, he called to suggest a new plan. Hearing his voice and feeling his energy, I knew this date was worth it. As the weeks went by, our relationship blossomed. Even as I headed back to college that spring to finish my senior year, we kept growing closer. Though we were apart, our relationship only deepened, with a few weekend trips thrown in the mix, by the time I returned home, our love felt stronger than ever. Our lives began to blend so naturally that being apart felt unimaginable, and it became clear that we were building a future together. There was never any doubt about the path we were on—and now, four years later, we’re so grateful to celebrate this journey with all of you.
