Eleven years ago, we started out as friends. There wasn't a grand plan or a dramatic moment when everything changed. We simply enjoyed spending time together, sharing laughs, and building a friendship that eventually became something much more. If you know us, you know we're opposites in a lot of ways. Brian is always ready for a party, a gathering, or an adventure. I enjoy all of those things too—but I'm also perfectly happy staying home with a blanket, a glass of wine, and absolutely no plans. Somehow, we've found the perfect balance between "Let's go!" and "Let's stay home." Over the years, we've traveled together, created countless memories, and learned that we make a pretty great team. We've explored new places, tackled life's challenges, celebrated milestones, and built a life filled with love, laughter, family, and friendship. We've been blessed with wonderful families, beautiful grandchildren, and an amazing group of friends who long ago became family. Some of our favorite memories have been made around dinner tables, on back porches, during vacations, and with the people who have supported us every step of the way. When Brian pulled off the surprise of the century and proposed at the Biltmore in Asheville—one of my favorite places—it felt like the perfect next chapter in our story. Of course, after eleven years together, people often ask, "What took so long?" Brian's answer is always the same: "I have a very thorough vetting process." After eleven years of observation, analysis, quality control checks, spreadsheets - we all know he loves a good spreadsheet - and what we're assuming included a final review board meeting, he finally reached a decision. The truth is, we wouldn't change a thing. Those eleven years gave us time to build something strong. We built a friendship first, a partnership second, and a life together that we truly love. We've celebrated successes, survived challenges, laughed until we cried, and accumulated enough inside jokes to confuse everyone around us. We may be wired differently, but we've always made a great team. We share the same values, the same love for family and friends, the same sense of adventure, and the same appreciation for the life we've built together! And now, after eleven wonderful years, we're excited to finally make it official. About time, right?
6:00 pm - 10:00 pm
Earlier in the day, we'll exchange our vows during an intimate ceremony at our home. Now that the serious part is out of the way… it’s time to celebrate! Join us for an evening of great food, cold drinks, dancing, laughter, and undoubtedly a few questionable dance moves. We can't wait to celebrate with our favorite people as we toast to love, family, friendship, and the fact that after eleven years, we're finally doing this. Come hungry, come thirsty, come ready to laugh, and most importantly, come ready to celebrate with us! 🍻💙✨
