FAQs

Question

Are children invited?

Answer

While we love your little ones, we are only able to accommodate children in the wedding party. If you're planning a family vacation for this trip, we appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time so you can enjoy a night off and celebrate with us!

Question

Can I bring a plus-one?

Answer

Due to the intimate nature of our celebration, we are only able to accommodate those guests formally listed on your invitation. We want to ensure we spend as much time as possible with our closest family and friends!

Question

When should I book my travel and room?

Answer

We recommend booking your flights and reserving your room in our block as soon as possible! Hawaii is a popular destination especially Labor Day weekend, and availability at the resort can fill up quickly. Please visit our Travel section for the link to our discounted room block. Note: the room block discounted rate is applicable from 8/31 to 9/8 if you choose to extend your stay.

Question

Are there restrictions on the number of adults per hotel room?

Answer

Yes, the Mauna Lani only allows 2 adults per standard room. Every additional adult incurs a $150 per night fee.

Question

Do I need a rental car?

Answer

We recommend renting a car if you plan to explore the island or stay at an air bnb, but taxis and ride-share services like Uber are also available at the airport if you plan on staying at the resort for most of the weekend! Note: if you are renting a car, the Mauna Lani incurs a daily parking fee.

Question

Are there other events I should plan for?

Answer

Yes! We would love to see you at our Welcome Party on Friday night and the Farewell Brunch on Sunday morning. Check out the Schedule page for full details on times and locations.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Beach Semi-Formal. We want you to be comfortable but elegant! Men, jackets and ties are optional, but please no shorts or flip flops. Women, we recommend block heel, wedges or dressy flats since we'll be on the sand or lawn during the wedding events.

Question

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Most of our wedding events will be held outdoors on sand or lawn, with exception of the after party where we will be indoors due to noise restrictions. Plan for plenty of fresh air and that ocean breeze! Note: the wedding ceremony will be at 5pm on the beach so don't forget your sunscreen and sunglasses!

Question

What is the RSVP deadline?
