Louie and Nicole’s wedding

7:00 pm - 11:00 pm

Attire: Eccentric Cocktail. Pull out that extra special outfit, the one with too many feathers, sequins, that tailored vest, something full of life.

Lite bites, that will include local items along with some vegetarian and gluten free options. An open bar where tipping is greatly encouraged Dancing & so much more... RSVP by May 2nd, 2025. Sadly there are no plus ones due to the size of the venue. For those who cannot attend the wedding, we are also planning an event Saturday May 24th. This will be more of a locals friends event but all are welcome. More information will be shared closer to the time of the event, but we are hoping for a Cart Crawl...

Travel

If you plan on staying in the city during your visit, we recommend that you don't rent a car due to the additional cost of parking and the high risk of getting the boot. Uber and Lift are solid options, but we are also listing a few other modes of transportation.

Travel Note

Blue Bike

Tired of walking, jump on an electric blue bike. $0.35 / min & $1.00 to unlock. You cannot leave these in the French Quarter, this area is not in range and you will receive a $25 charge, ask me how I know this... Check out the website for more details. There are a few local bike tours and bike rentals if you want to keep a bike a little longer.

Train

Street Car

We recommend the $3.00 Jazzy Pass. This is good for 1 day and will grant you unlimited access on & off the street cars, busses and the Fairy to Algiers Point. Check out the RTA web site for a detailed map for more information. I always pay in cash instead of buying via the app. This is a great way to take a break from walking and just enjoy the city.

Hotel

La Cour

1009 Bourbon St., New Orleans, LA 70116

The venue has 3 rooms available during the weekend of the wedding. The nightly rate is $250. For more information, please reach out to Louie and Nicole

Things To Do

The Upper Quarter

1000 Bienville Street, New Orleans, LA 70112

The UQ is one of our favorites bars & spots to connect with friends. This is where we, well Louie watches the Saints game and everyone waits for Mary's pudding shots. The place where we meet up for Crawfish, Mer's Tacos, Chicken Hunts, Christmas Caroling and family... Oh and bartenders, the best!

Palm&Pine

308 North Rampart Street, New Orleans, LA 70112

Our absolute favorite French Quarter restaurant. It's our go to for celebrations, when friends come into town and just because. The restaurant is quirky, the staff is welcoming, the owners and Chefs, Amarys & Jordan are noting but magical in the kitchen. It's a small menu, unusual ingredients, and it never disappoints. Reservations are recommended for dinner. They also have a late night menu with burgers among other items if you don't want subpar FQ pizza at midnight.

Saturn Bar

3067 Saint Claude Avenue, New Orleans, LA 70117

Great locals dive bar with a unique bathroom. I expect pictures if you go here. Live bands most nights. We once attended a women's arm wrestling competition, best night ever! This is also where Louie and I meet with our friends to craft throws for Krewe Boheme parade.

Black Penny

700 North Rampart Street, New Orleans, LA 70116

Another favorite local bar of ours on the outskirt of the FQ on Rampart Street, just across from Armstrong Park. The vibe depends on the bartender, but it's always the best. There's Thursday night Bingo, Tiki Sundays ( if your lucky), Kelsey & Gio and some of the best and unique locals. Oh, they also have lots of NA drink options.

Erin Rose

811 Conti Street, New Orleans, LA 70112

Everyone needs a frozen Irish coffee, and if your hungry walk to the back of the bar for one of our favorite po'boys from Killer Po'boys. We recommend the Black Beer Beef Debris. they also have vegetarian options.

Emporium Arcade Bar

2231 Saint Claude Avenue, New Orleans, LA 70117

Drinks and Qbert for the win! Later in the evenings you can find lots of food trucks in this area

Cafe Beignet, Royal Street

334 Royal Street, New Orleans, LA 70130

We had our first date, yes were calling it a date, at this very spot. I actually find these beignets to be better then Cafe Du Monde but I think you should try them all while you are here.

Trixie's Burlesque Boutique

834 Chartres Street, New Orleans, LA 70116

Once upon a time Louie was a mermaid handler for Trixie Minx and Nicole repurposed a dress for her that she wore in a parade in Switzerland! Trixie is a great friend that we admire and cheer on with all her endeavors and love that we get to join in every now and then. We highly recommend you take a stroll down Charters Street to her store, Trixie Minx Burlesque Boutique. With burlesque themed items and costumes there's definitely something for everyone. And if your so inclined, you can even take a class. ( must book ahead of time) Prefer to catch a show? Click on the Productions link for a listing and to purchase tickets.

Gimme

713 Toulouse Street, New Orleans, LA 70130

This is our go to spot when we need that little something extra to make our costumes or that unique gift. They have a great selection of glitter, makeup, earrings, bags, sunglasses and so much more.

The AllWays Lounge & Cabaret

2240 Saint Claude Avenue, New Orleans, LA 70117

Check out the calendar at The Always, I highly recommend the Van Ella Bordella Burlesque show, but they have so many different things going on each night of the week, you can't go wrong dropping in here. We once saw a girl who covered the stage with a tarp, then there was a Champaign glass.... you just have to go...

Pulcinella!

1300 Saint Bernard Avenue, New Orleans, LA 70116

Dinner & a Show! This is a great 2 for 1 spot. Pulcinella, the only Italian restaurant Nicole would recommend in New Orleans, with the must have meatball, so good it almost made her cry. Upstairs you will find the Original Nite Cap bar. If your lucky, you can catch one of Bella Blues burlesque shows.

New Orleans Museum of Art

1 Collins Diboll Circle, New Orleans, LA 70124

The New Orleans Museum of Art & the outdoor Sculpture Garden. Louie brought me here for the first time for my 29th birthday. The day was perfect.

StudioBE

2941 Royal Street, New Orleans, LA 70117

Tickets run $15 for general admission and well worth every penny. A must see.

Chemical 14

4315 Royal Street, New Orleans, LA 70117

Chemical 14 Gallery, the artwork is from local artists and for sale. Go with an open mind & a few quarters... Bonus, there are lots of great bars and restaurants within walking distance - The Joint - great food and frozen drinks, Parleaux Beer lab, Bacchanal fine Wine, Bar Redux...

Music Box Village

4557 North Rampart Street, New Orleans, LA 70117

Sometimes there's local bands, movies, and hopefully an art market. Great spot to check out.

Audubon Park

6500 Magazine Street, New Orleans, LA 70118

Check out the Zoo, the tree of life, or get lazy by the river at the fly. There are lots of great restaurants, bars and shops in the uptown area.

1901 Royal Street, New Orleans, LA 70117

Live Music Calendar, Community events, dining, etc
