May we take pictures and videos with our personal smartphone or camera?

While we are happy that you wish to remember this ceremony with us, Kristian & I request that you keep your phones stowed away during the ceremony. We are both very private people which is why we have such a small guest list. The ceremony should only be for 10-15 minutes, after which we will continue to have the chapel for 45 more minutes for taking photos. Kristian & I did hire a professional photographer to cover the ceremony in the chapel, and we have also asked him to take photos of us with our family & friends after the ceremony.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please arrive at least 10 minutes before 4:00 pm. There is no waiting area due to the chapel hosting back to back weddings. The doors will not open to us until 4:00 pm on the dot.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Parking is available on the street right in front of the chapel on Fremont St. There is also a parking lot behind the building. You can enter this lot off Maryland Pwky or 11th St. It is a paid lot, so don’t forget to validate your ticket! Fogo De Chao Brazilian Steakhouse has plentiful parking spaces right in front of it.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Please wear light colors and cool fabrics. Las Vegas weather is hot at this time, and sunset is not until past 7:00 pm. Women may wear sundresses with sandals or flats, while men may wear a nice shirt and pants with comfortable shoes. It is whatever you would be like to be seen wearing in the wedding photos.

Are kids welcome?

Kids are welcome provided they are supervised by an adult at all times, due to the nature of the venue's decorations.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

While we enjoy a big family and group of friends, the chapel only has seating for 24 people and there is no standing room.

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

Las Vegas is hosting the Electronic Daisy Carnival on the same weekend. Although the event is at the Las Vegas Speedway, several shuttle pick-up points are located all throughout the city. These include World Market Center and The Strat. Please expect traffic around these areas and plan your route accordingly.

Hotels closest to Sure Thing Chapel include Golden Nugget, Main Street Station Casino & Brewery Hotel, Circa, and El Cortez. Of these hotels, the most recently renovated one would be Circa.
