Welcome Food and Drinks

6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Hortencia's at the Cliffhanger
25187 California 18, Crestline, CA 92325

For anyone staying near the venue on Saturday night, join us for welcome food and drinks and breathtaking views over the San Bernardino Valley at Hortencia's. Food and first drink is on Mary Fossier, but anything after that (Marg tower? Round of Tequila?) is on you.

Wear something green if you have it! Green attracts faeries, and faeries (allegedly) attract/are responsible for mischief, and so we want to tucker them out the night before to ensure there is not too much mischief on the day of our wedding.

Travel Note

Flying in

The venue is located in the Lake Arrowhead region of the San Bernardino mountains, which is approximately 1.5-2 hours east of Los Angeles (driving, without traffic). For guests flying in, it might be worth checking out flights at the San Bernardino airport, which is only a 40 minutes driving from the venue (it's effectively at the foot of the mountain you'll need to drive up). Here is one option to book a shuttle from the airport to the venue area: https://ridenrelax.com/crestline-ca/ In your RSVP, we will ask if you would like us to pair you with others to split a shuttle or car from San Bernardino airport or LAX.

Hotel

Arrowhead Pine Rose Cabins

25994 California 189, Lake Arrowhead, CA 92391

We would love for you to stay in a cabin at the venue the night of the wedding (8/16) and there are a few cabins left. For the ones that say 2 nights required, you can book for just 1 night by calling Pine Rose Cabins and letting them know you are with the wedding. If you prefer to stay outside of the venue—or if you would also like accommodations for Saturday night—we recommend the following hotels, each a short drive from the venue: North Shore Inn (8 minutes from the venue) 24202 Lake Dr, Crestline, CA 92325 Crest Lodge Historic Mountain Inn (10 minutes from the venue) 23508 Lake Dr, Crestline, CA 92325 Or feel free to check out other hotels or Airbnbs - we'd recommend looking around the "Lake Arrowhead Village" or Crestline (by Lake Gregory), both of which are about a 10 minute drive from the venue.

Travel Note

Cab information

Note that uber/Lyft has longer than average wait times in this area because it is not a big city, so keep that in mind for your planning! If you are not able to get an uber or Lyft, there are several cab companies in the area: Lake Arrowhead Taxi: (909) 744-4515 A+ Mountain Ride Services: (909) 500-2994

Dress code

Welcome Drinks: Wear something green

Wedding: Enchanted Garden Party

Festive and whimsical without being overly formal (no suits or gowns required - think woodland summer party). Breathable fabrics (like linen), playful details (ruffles, embroidery, shimmer etc), and nature inspired accessories are encouraged. The only rule: please avoid light blue (yes, even white is welcome!) Practical tips: Choose shoes that will be comfortable on the forest floor (we would recommend no stilettos) Bring a light layer - the afternoon will be very warm, but the evening could be cool Wear something comfortable for summer dancing outdoors!
