There are a handful of hotels in Coos Bay and North Bend within a 10-15min drive of Bay Point Landing. There are great vacation rentals through Airbnb/Vrbo/Vacasa in the area. If you like camping - Sunset Bay State Park is about a 10min drive to the ceremony/reception site. Other hotels near by: -Best Western Holiday Hotel -The Mill Casino -Bandon Inn (If you don't mind driving a little ways (35min) Bandon is a cute coastal town with accommodations as well.)
We will be hosting a meet and greet Friday night with a taco truck - the first round of tacos are on us, and anything after (or if you prefer something else off the menu, that will be up to individuals) and the reception dinner Saturday night. If you are staying on site it is "glamping" style so breakfast and lunch are pick your own adventure! Unfortunately there is not a restaurant on site. Dressy Casual - we'd love to see you all dressed up! But want you to feel comfortable in whatever you're comfortable in! We plan on an outdoor/indoor theme and the weather can be unpredictable on the coast in March so keep that in mind!
Oregon Coast weather is hard to predict especially in Spring! It could be in the 60's and sunny or in the 40's and rainy and windy. We recommend packing layers to prepare for the different weather conditions.
We'd love to see the kiddos but also support your decision if you want to have a mom and dad weekend kid free!
Unfortunately Bay Point does not allow tent camping or car camping (RV, and camper vans only) There are some camping spots in the area near Sunset Bay State Park (10 min drive) if camping is your style.
We plan to have the ceremony outside rain or shine - and the reception indoors.
We love pups, but we recommend leaving your fur babies at home for the weekend unless it’s really necessary. If you do bring your dog, please make sure your accommodations allow pets, you’re responsible for them, and your dog is well-behaved and chill around people. Thanks for understanding — we want everyone to have a great time!
We chose Coos Bay for our venue (we fell in love with the space), but if it’s your first time on the Oregon Coast and you're making the trip out, we highly recommend turning your trip into a mini adventure.
