8:00 pm - 10:00 pm
Cocktail Attire: Think cocktail dresses, LBDs, dressy jumpsuits, and dark jackets and slacks.
Very limited food options will be provided so would recommend getting dinner before at a local favorite, check out the Things to Do page for some recs!
4:30 pm - 5:15 pm
Black-Tie Optional: Tuxes and gowns are preferred, but not required.
Note that this church is within Airlie Gardens so lots of grass and vegetation, ladies, pick your shoes accordingly!
5:30 pm - 11:00 pm
There will be light bites for cocktail hour and then dinner served with several stations to accommodate all types of dietary restrictions. Can't wait to see you there!
Flight
You can fly directly into Wilmington (ILM), which is the most convenient airport to fly into as it's right in town and about 20 minutes from both the beach and downtown Wilmington! There are direct flights to ILM from New York, Boston, Philadelphia, Chicago, Atlanta, Miami, and Charlotte (and probably more), so you shouldn't need more than a one-stop layover. However, it is a relatively small airport, and as a result flight options can be limited and expensive. Alternatively, you can fly into Myrtle Beach (MYR) or Raleigh/Durham (RDU), which are larger airports, but each are over an hour and a half drive away. Therefore, we would suggest flying into ILM if you can!

One of our favorite restaurants in Wilmington. It's situated on the main street in downtown Wilmington with tons of other bars and restaurants within walking distance, so conveniently located for getting a nightcap after dinner! The Tagliatelle Bolognese is fantastic, but you really can't go wrong with anything on the menu.
Another one of our go-to restaurants in downtown Wilmington. It's small and they don't accept reservations, so you might have to wait a little for a table (shouldn't be longer than 30 minutes for a party of two, can be a little longer for larger parties though). Pro tip: go put your name down and then meander over to Flytrap Brewery a few blocks away for a drink while you wait!
One of our favorite casual dinner spots downtown and it's usually pretty easy to get a table. The "Kevin McCallister" pizza is a Nick and Campbell favorite and, as a bonus, Benny's has one of the best espresso martinis in town! If you want to grab a drink before or after dinner here, head over to Satellite across the street!
All of our other restaurant recommendations are located in downtown Wilmington, but this Panamanian restaurant is the best restaurant we've been to at Wrightsville Beach! It was featured on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives, so you know it's Flavortown approved.
Spend the day at the beach! There are lots of public access points along the beach, but be advised parking can be limited.
For any tennis players or pickleball players, WB Park has a few hard courts with both options!
Festivities kick off at 430 so any time before then is fine but something to keep in mind is that this church is very "cozy" so there will be some seating outside in the garden as well. If you want a good seat, like anything, get there early!
We are not providing any transportation on Fridays events but there will be a small trolley running laps in between the ceremony and reception on Saturday. If you want to hitch a ride on the trolley, I would recommend Ubering to the ceremony and the we can handle the rest!
This is a hot question as parking in Wrightsville beach is practically a currency, however there will be parking at both the ceremony and the reception for all guests who require it. I would not recommend leaving any cars at the ceremony location as Sunday will be filled with church goers and all cars left will be towed. Please also note there is plenty of parking at the Welcome Party as well!
We are asking that parents leave the kiddos at home and enjoy a date night out! If you need any recommendations for local sitters or childcare, please reach out to me (Campbell) and I will hook you up with some contacts in my babysitting network from back in the day.
ASAP is always preferable, but March 7th is the deadline we are trying to stick to. This will also be on the formal invitations that should be arriving shortly.
