Travel

Flight

Wilmington International Airport (ILM)

You can fly directly into Wilmington (ILM), which is the most convenient airport to fly into as it's right in town and about 20 minutes from both the beach and downtown Wilmington! There are direct flights to ILM from New York, Boston, Philadelphia, Chicago, Atlanta, Miami, and Charlotte (and probably more), so you shouldn't need more than a one-stop layover. However, it is a relatively small airport, and as a result flight options can be limited and expensive. Alternatively, you can fly into Myrtle Beach (MYR) or Raleigh/Durham (RDU), which are larger airports, but each are over an hour and a half drive away. Therefore, we would suggest flying into ILM if you can!

Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Campbell Cooper and Nick Ball
We expect most of you out of towners will want to take in the beach as much as you can, but don’t forget little ole Wilmington has tons to offer as well! Most activities are within 15/20 minute driving distance regardless of where you stay, but we wanted to flag a few of the local hot spots below (mostly restaurants as Nick and I love a good dinner).
Circa 1922

Circa 1922

8 North Front Street, Wilmington, NC 28401

One of our favorite restaurants in Wilmington. It's situated on the main street in downtown Wilmington with tons of other bars and restaurants within walking distance, so conveniently located for getting a nightcap after dinner! The Tagliatelle Bolognese is fantastic, but you really can't go wrong with anything on the menu.

Olivero

Olivero

522 South 3rd Street, Wilmington, NC 28401

Fantastic new Italian restaurant downtown, a bottle of red or a bottle of white will pair well with anything on the menu! We'd recommend making a reservation well in advance, especially for larger parties.

Savorez

402 Chestnut Street, Wilmington, NC 28401

Another one of our go-to restaurants in downtown Wilmington. It's small and they don't accept reservations, so you might have to wait a little for a table (shouldn't be longer than 30 minutes for a party of two, can be a little longer for larger parties though). Pro tip: go put your name down and then meander over to Flytrap Brewery a few blocks away for a drink while you wait!

Benny's Big Time Pizzeria

Benny's Big Time Pizzeria

206 Greenfield Street, Wilmington, NC 28401

One of our favorite casual dinner spots downtown and it's usually pretty easy to get a table. The "Kevin McCallister" pizza is a Nick and Campbell favorite and, as a bonus, Benny's has one of the best espresso martinis in town! If you want to grab a drink before or after dinner here, head over to Satellite across the street!

Ceviche's

Ceviche's

7210 Wrightsville Avenue, Wilmington, NC 28403

All of our other restaurant recommendations are located in downtown Wilmington, but this Panamanian restaurant is the best restaurant we've been to at Wrightsville Beach! It was featured on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives, so you know it's Flavortown approved.

Manna

Manna

123 Princess St., Wilmington, NC 28401

Manna is a great fine dining restaurant located in downtown Wilmington, but on the pricier side. We used to go here for special occasions when we lived in Wilmington! Bonus: the cocktails are great here too!

Seabird

Seabird

1 South Front Street, Wilmington, NC 28401

Great spot downtown for seafood and more!

Wilmington Municipal Golf Course

Wilmington Municipal Golf Course

311 Donald Ross Drive, Wilmington, NC 28409

A nice, well-maintained municipal golf course. Great course for the price.

Magnolia Greens Golf Course

Magnolia Greens Golf Course

1800 Tommy Jacobs Drive, Leland, NC 28451

More upscale and expensive course than Wilmington Muni, but still a decent price for a nice public course.

Wrightsville Beach

Wrightsville Beach

Wrightsville Beach, NC

Spend the day at the beach! There are lots of public access points along the beach, but be advised parking can be limited.

Wrightsville Beach Park

Wrightsville Beach Park

321 Causeway Drive, Wrightsville Beach, NC 28480

For any tennis players or pickleball players, WB Park has a few hard courts with both options!

USS North Carolina Battleship

USS North Carolina Battleship

1 Battleship Road, Wilmington, NC 28401

The USS North Carolina battleship is permanently docked in Wilmington and offers tours of the once active battleship!

FAQs

Question

Will Nick and Campbell be on time for their own wedding?

Answer

All signs point to no, the 15 minute grace period lives on!

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We are asking that parents leave the kiddos at home and enjoy a date night out! If you need any recommendations for local sitters or childcare, please reach out to me (Campbell) and I will hook you up with some contacts in my babysitting network from back in the day.

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

ASAP is always preferable, but if I have to give you a hard date then January 31st, 2025 seems arbitrary enough.

Question

Will transportation be provided?

Answer

We are not providing any transportation on Fridays events but there will be a small trolley running laps in between the ceremony and reception on Saturday. If you want to hitch a ride on the trolley, I would recommend Ubering to the ceremony and the we can handle the rest!

Question

Where can I park?

Answer

This is a hot question as parking in Wrightsville beach is practically a currency, however there will be parking at both the ceremony and the reception for all guests who require it. I would not recommend leaving any cars at the ceremony location, however CYC is completely fine with leaving cars overnight and picking back up in the morning (a common practice for beach bar goers). Please also note there is plenty of parking at the Welcome Party as well!
